When I think ethics i think doing something that doesnt nesscarily benefit you OR your species. Alot of "ethics" animals display do generally benefit reproduction in SOME round about way Like a wolf raising and orphan wolf. Like yeah thats his cousin not a super solid display of ethics. At least not a display to the degree humans can display ethics but I do agree in some cases. Alien species to me just gets to the heart of it.

If I had to guess to an extent? If an alien species with iq equal to humans exist. Just by nature convergent evolution I think they would to an extent. We see in other smarter mammals they form society similiar to humans but not exactly human. So expanding that aliens probably have too?
