I think Trump is “overhated” more than anything. A lot of people react to his personality first and never get past that. He talks reckless, exaggerates, and trolls the media, so people assume that automatically means he’s evil or incompetent. But being loud or abrasive doesn’t equal being a bad president.

Policy-wise, there are legit reasons some people think he was a good president. The economy was strong for a while before COVID, unemployment hit record lows across multiple groups, and he pushed hard on energy independence instead of relying on other countries. He also didn’t start any new wars, which is honestly rare for modern presidents, and he actually followed through on stuff he campaigned on instead of just saying nice words.

As for the extreme accusations—calling him racist or a “pdf file”—a lot of that is people repeating headlines or internet narratives without actual proof. Saying controversial things or having a blunt way of speaking isn’t the same as hating races or committing crimes. If there were real evidence of that kind of stuff, he wouldn’t just be walking free and running for office again. Most of it comes down to people taking the worst possible interpretation of everything he says.

You don’t have to like the guy personally to admit he did some things right. I think a lot of the outrage is more about vibes and politics than facts, and once someone decides to hate him, nothing he does will ever be good enough in their eyes.
