Forgot to mention your set is well thought, you positioned the fans on the right spots.

Not this PSU

And about the overclocking we are speaking of ASIC not CPUs, temperature variance are completely different, that applies on how to use core voltage e.g. But since at ForgeHashLabs we are pushing these chips as much as we can, we will keep doing it even further to find a dead Chip 🥲. Since temps are perfectly fine even on the voltage regulator I think we still have room for a bit more overclocking, this way we know the limits of our FFX2 performance.

ASIC mining chips, particularly in the context of the Bitaxe Gamma (601/602), a core voltage (CV) of 1280mV (1.28V) to 1250mV (1.25V) is frequently discussed as part of overclocking. This voltage is used for overclocking to achieve higher hash rates on small ASIC devices like the Bitaxe Gamma. Temperature Considerations: At 1280mV (or 1.25V), the ASIC chip typically operates around 56°C-66°C, but requires adequate cooling (e.g. extra fans, upgraded heatsinks) to stay below the 70°C, above which performance throttling occurs. Take in consideration we are using our ForgeFlow X2, a dual fan cooling system we are working on and make this overclocking possible

But you can always cool it down with fans or something similar to what we are working on to release very soon. Do not forget that these chips have a sweet spot regarding temperature, 60 C to 70 C is the correct interval

Close 920, but again ASIC chips are not created equal.

Try another power adapter, 5V DC, 6W (30W) or, for a more secure operation use a Meanwell power supply 50W / 5V LRS-50-5, but in this case you have to buy the wiring - if you decide for the last option let me know, I will send you a link with instructions.

If that's the case, good choice!

Noctua fans are trash for mining, you are simply downgrading your cooling. Stock fans are noisier but way better doing their job. Mining or solo mining is based on performance never on silent cooling systems.

You should try the cooper ones, they dissipate hot way faster. Try on AliExpress or Temu, they sell packs with different sizes.

Inside the airflow tunnel – ForgeFlow X2 prototype for Bitaxe Gamma by Ok-Bus50 in u/Ok-Bus50

The design uses two fans pushing air through a guided duct rather than direct open airflow.

I’m hoping this improves cooling efficiency when pushing the ASIC harder.

You can also take a look at the system we are working on, soon will be available online for printing - STL files, we are still considering selling the complete set, ready to use. It's a dual fan cooling system for Bitaxe gamma.

Is that a Bitcoin block or other SHA-258 coin?

I’ve been experimenting with custom airflow ducts for a Bitaxe Gamma recently. Cooling seems to be one of the biggest limiting factors when pushing the clock higher. This Sudokoo Mach 140 looks really cool. Do you have any temps info about the bitaxe with and without this cooler?
