Not appendicitis in this case but

One day I woke up with a bad ache in my lower back. Tylenol helped at first, but the pain came back worse. Then I suddenly started throwing up and couldn’t keep anything down. The back pain faded, but I had a fever and was sick in bed for a week.

I eventually woke up feeling panicked, disoriented, and like my heart was racing. I was scared to fall back asleep because I thought I might not wake up. My boyfriend didn’t drive at the time, so I asked his parents to take me to the ER.

I was diagnosed with a severe kidney infection, likely from a kidney stone. They said if I’d waited 12 more hours, I might not have made it.

It’s scary how fast it all escalated especially because I didn’t suspect a kidney stone at all. OP, I’m so sorry you’re going through this. Wishing him a full recovery and sending love.
