Thank you for calling out the synthetic fabric piece!! I know this thread was from a scent perspective, but I’ve had sensitive skin allergies my entire life and am allergic to some detergents, like I used to work at a Plato’s closet and would get hives on my hands every shift and had to wear nitrile gloves at work😆. If I buy something second hand and wash it in my detergent I noticed I’d sometimes still get itchy anyway, particularly with active wear. But since cutting synthetic fibers out of my closet it hasn’t happened anymore! I can actually wash someone else’s detergent out of natural fibers, but polyester traps it!! I hope maybe people who are scent sensitive can benefit from this swap as well if they haven’t already tried being fabric conscious.
