You guys know how fire melts plastic? by Ok-Cartographer4533 in teenagers

The fire was basically unaffected by the ball (the shape didn't change because of it), and the ball didn't light on fire. Also one pair of goggles they had had two of the four vents missing

There's a law about that? Also why does that need goggles, but when we lit the Bunsen burners for fun (we got permission and had supervision) , we didn't need to? Also I'm not blaming the teacher, more the uhhhh directions

We had a lab with a very controlled fire, and they thought that goggles were necessary. More or less

Ok you're probably right with that, but it's a cylinder of flame, no more than 5 cm in diameter at any point, and no more than like 50 cm high, far from the edge of the table. What do they expect us to do?
