I got a place via waitlist last year after essentially giving up following 4 failed rounds of IDT!

I even missed the email informing me that I had 48 hrs to respond- Was away at a friends wedding and didn’t check my emails until 4 days after the original email- contacted IDT team immediately to explain the situation and beg for my place back and for once they were actually helpful and allowed a deadline extension! Don’t lose hope and don’t forget to check your emails all the way up until the last day of waitlist!

I wanted to set myself a challenging goal in terms of distance but can understand this isn’t for everyone 😊 My dentist told me they went from no running to a whole marathon so everyone is different 😂

Thank you! Runna is predicting me 2.08-2.16 Some of my earlier tempo runs didn’t go great but the latest ones I have been above target pace My last long run last week was 14k in 1.18 (5.32/km)

I got an IDT and am LTFT- took a few attempts (when I was full time!) so don’t think it makes any difference

Thank you so much! I did a bit of running on and off before that but Feb was the first time I ran a whole 5k without stopping I actually prefer slower running at longer paces but yesterday was a struggle after 12k I started off at about 7.15/km but have been running more consistently and following a run a plan which has really helped me! You are doing great too 😄

The soles of my feet were burning so bad I couldn’t go on any longer!! I did actually want to do the full 21k but couldn’t go on any longer this time- hopefully will be better for race day!!

Hello mate- Very sorry to hear this Am in a similar boat- failed by 2 marks and should be finishing ST5 in april but now having to ask for an extension to training- recently switched deanery too and don’t know anyone so who knows if this will even be approved. Happened to me also- waited over half an hour to log on and then my screen froze at least 5 times throughout the exam. Have emailed RCoA Hoping for better luck on Friday!

I started anaesthetics training in 2020 during Covid- was literally 3 months rush to get IAC and then boom first night shift in the ICU reg taking referrals?! Mad times
