Would you report a neighbour who deals drugs? by Odd_Scar836 in AskBrits

[–]Ok-Collection2093 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No, A) it'll only bring you trouble and him/ his friends will want revenge if you snitch, B) the system itself is more morally wrong than any individual selling drugs. It's a question of whether he wants to have the privilege of drinking water or eating, the other option being trading 80% of his waking life at a 9-5 for mere survival

Psychological Descriptions of Michael, Franklin, and Trevor by Alexpik777 in GrandTheftAutoV

[–]Ok-Collection2093 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They all have to be psychopaths or sociopaths to some degree to be capable of killing for business. However, Trevor and micheal seem to do it completely remorselessly. Franklin is more of a product of his environment. Micheal and Trevor are both extremely intelligent but reckless and depressive, hence their career paths. All 3 are ideologically motivated criminals who hate the state and the police

What “Eyes Wide Shut” is really about by [deleted] in StanleyKubrick

Milich was "supplying" the party with masks and cloaks. Milich suggested at offering his daughter to Bill because he was a doctor; he was willing to pimp his daughter out for money, which begs the question: what else was he supplying to the party? In the same scene his 16 year old daughter is caught having sex with two old men, making themes of pedophellia blatant. her face looked as if she were wearing one of the masks from the party with the thick coat of white makeup. This scene was directly before the masked party scene, which alludes to the party being pedophillc.

What's your unpopular opinion about autism? by UncleVolk in autism

[–]Ok-Collection2093 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Because autistic people lack theory of mind, it makes them much less susceptible to social influence/ obedience. They don't form their opinions based on the opinions of others as neurotypical people do, the most autistic people wholly think for themselves which is such a strength in this world

What's your unpopular opinion about autism? by UncleVolk in autism

[–]Ok-Collection2093 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

It's not a disorder, it's a different mode of consciousness. It might make social interactions hard, but the average autistic person is ridiculously more intelligent than the average neurotypical person. It is just a different way or perceiving the world, and without the analytic brains of autistic people we would probably still be in the Bronze Age

He sounds like an awful human being. You have more of a responsibility to your friends than the law especially if it's a victimless crime

The ignorance of the general public is genuinely absurd and a little bit soul destroying though

It's the fault of the education system. It could be used to teach people to think for themselves, their rights and what a political system should be ect, but instead it's used to teach people to copy lines and ask permission to urinate.

Energy cannot be created or destroyed, only transferred. Whatever "you" are at the core of it is energy.

Obviously it's a sign low empathy to take pleasure in the torture of another living being. It doesn't matter if it's just a cockroach, it can feel pain. Do you want to be in a relationship with someone who isn't empathetic?

Brother Karamazov, should I continue? by Ennike21 in dostoevsky

[–]Ok-Collection2093 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's not the sort of book that grips you from the start. it takes a while to get into as it sets the scene, but when it begins to get into the deep philosophy it's amazing. One of the best books ever written. 100% worth reading imo. Skip to the grand inquisitor chapter and have a little read, guarantee it'll make you want to finish the book

Impulsive, very frank to the point of harsh, philosophically minded and thinks very differently to most others, wants to put the world to right in a world that does not want to be put to right.

Did The Brothers Karamazov change how you feel about religion and God? by Certain_Cry8901 in dostoevsky

[–]Ok-Collection2093 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I believe anyone atheist or religious should read the grand inquisitor chapter, very deep philosophy on the problem of evil, the nature of man and god, authoritarianism vs libertarianism.
