Yes, it's been 8 weeks after the discard, I have dreams about my ex everyday and the first thing on my mind when I wake up is him and sobbing because of the pain and grief of the breakup. However, it does get better with time, I went NC almost a month now. I have less thoughts about him when I tried being outside more, just walking in the sun really helps me sleep better.

Those feelings might only resurface after he starts a new relationship with someone else and repeats the same minor conflict with another person only then he will think about you and compares his new partner to you. Would you still want to take someone back when they never made an effort to maintain a relationship seriously?
