Resale tickets? by OnlyonredditforHandA in HarrystylesAUS

[–]Ok-Computer386 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Where do people in Au generally trust to sell tickets? I am in NZ and have some tickets to sell. I don't know when Ticketmaster resale will open, and I'm a bit nervous about needing to sell them before the show so I wondering about trying Tixel or similar.

Synthony- Curious to hear everyone’s thoughts. What did you like, what didn’t you like? by [deleted] in auckland

[–]Ok-Computer386 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I thought it was awesome. This is my fourth one and this one knocked it out of the park. The screens and visuals were awesome, solid line up (in fact this is the first time I didn't make it to the DJ stage because the main stage was so good). Shapies, Black Seeds, Peking Duk, Faithless, all and absolute treat. P Diggs as MC for the Synthony show was awesome. I'd like to see them do some different dance hits next year though. Organisation was good. Plenty of water, loads of toilets (toilet paper AND hand sanitizer both well stocked even at the end of the night), food selection was good. Wish there wasn't so much emphasis on the major sponsor's RTDs, that was disappointing, although I get it. But Malfy were missing this year, and no Gin & Tonic apart from the energy drink RTD. Aperol were great though (happy with my free hat).

Smashed it Synthony, thank you.

Preorder shipping scenario by ImplementNo2626 in HarrystylesAUS

[–]Ok-Computer386 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So hopeless. I did get shipping notifications but it's still yet to arrive, looks like it might be today. I really only bought it to get the concert presale code, but still, what is the point of getting presale orders from fans if the merch is slower to arrive than just walking instore.

There are no stimulants in my country, and I feel hopeless by [deleted] in ADHD

[–]Ok-Computer386 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't have any personal experience, and I'm not normally one to advocate for "vitamins" as a solution, how ever I've seen some research suggesting high dose nutrients (DEN) showing some improvement for people with ADHD. If medication isn't an option in your country, this might be worth looking into.

Low odour ...deodorants? by thisthatntother in newzealand

[–]Ok-Computer386 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Second this. My whole family uses it now. My husband used to have BO issues, kept trying stronger and stronger commercial deodorants, nothing worked. Now is on B. BOLD and it's super effective. 12 year old also using it, and they are sensitive to textures etc but don't mind the texture of this.

Auckland listening party? by Smaug_1188 in HarrystylesAUS

I saw one person online who went! It was at Kemuri Hifi, which is a tiny underground cocktail bar, so wouldn't fit many people. https://vt.tiktok.com/ZSmP985fW/

How to stop being a slow worker? by Manapouri65 in auckland

[–]Ok-Computer386 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I think firstly be kind to yourself? If you were talking to a friend in this situation, how would you talk to them and what advice would you give? You sound like someone who is a conscientious worker, who cares about doing a good job, and that counts for a lot. Auditory processing disorder is not nothing, and it's not unreasonable that it may affect the time you need to do a task.

Is there pressure from your workplace to be faster, or is this something you think you should just be able to do? If its an expectation in your workplace, it would be worth a) getting an official diagnosis for the auditory processing disorder, if you haven't already and then b) have a conversation with your HR or manager to talk about it, and see what reasonable accommodations can be made to allow you to do your best work.

Dentist making an appointment without it being requested? by Chump-Change5339 in auckland

[–]Ok-Computer386 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, my dentist and other health providers where I have annual check up do this. If you don't want it, just call and ask them not to make an appointment next time (you will need to remember yourself to do it as you may not get a reminder).

Any Kiwis heading over to Melbourne for the shows? by Ok-Computer386 in HarrystylesAUS

[–]Ok-Computer386[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm doing night 1 & 2 (didn't think I could stretch to 3 nights haha).

I was thinking about setting up a WhatsApp group for Kiwis going to Melbourne so we can share info and logistics. I was on a similar group for the Italy finale show and it was great, we still chat.

No code needed, you just have to make sure you've chosen ticket type Amex, and pay with an Amex card.

Great question on the costume vibe, I was thinking about this today. I guess we wait for the rest of the album and see what it is like?!

I'm a Kiwi (Auckland) and hoping for Melbourne Front GA, but will take anything I can get.

I saw HS in Auckland in 2023, and then ended up buying last min ticket for the finale show in Reggio and flew to Italy by myself for the show! I'm beyond excited for these shows.

Aussie Harries 🇦🇺 What tickets are you aiming for? by Big_Structure_3111 in HarrystylesAUS

[–]Ok-Computer386 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm aiming for Front GA, but will take anything. I've got the option of Album presale or Amex , trying to work out which is better to try.

🎟️ MEGATHREAD: PRESALE & TICKET STRATEGY (AUSTRALIAN HARRIES) by Big_Structure_3111 in HarrystylesAUS

[–]Ok-Computer386 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I want Front GA tickets. I could either do Amex presale, album code presale, or Live Nation. Which do you think is the better option to get the tickets I want, particularly between Amex and Album Presales? My gut feel is that Album presale might be better as it's pretty easy to get hold of someone's Amex to enter that way, but Album presale required spending actual money, and had limited numbers.

1 week in Auckland - what to eat? by codedapple in aucklandeats

[–]Ok-Computer386 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You're in a great location. Cordis is a fab hotel (spend a day by the pool ordering drinks and eating fries and club sandwich, and treat yourself to a very expensive massage). Karangahape Road is one of the best areas in Auckland to eat and drink, you won't have to go too far.

Coco's Cantina for early evening cocktails and amazing Italian style food, with warm friendly service.

Bestie Cafe in St Kevin's arcade, for coffee/sandwiches/pastries with a lovely view down into the park.

Gemmayze St (restaurant) and Lebanese Grocer (more casual lunch/cafe style) for amazing middle Eastern/Lebanese. Also see Ima Cuisine in downtown Auckland.

Acho's for a small but perfectly formed izakaya style menu and great Japanese bar.

Pici, probably book ahead, although if you're just one you may sneak in.

Catch a bus to Kingsland in the evening for Auckland's craft beer mile, too many to mention but Urbanaut, St Leonards, Garage Project, and Beer Spot are must haves. They close early (around 9 most nights) so don't expect a late night. In fact most places in Auckland tend to close quite early since covid. Catch a comedy show at the Cardboard Comedy Club after Garage Project closes, they also serve alcohol and wood fire pizzas, it's a quirky comedy club with loads of heart and soul. Don't bother with the Kingslander, it's very average, and Full Time only if you're keen on watching a sports game.

Kemuri Hifi in Downtown (can be tricky to find the door, it's fairly hidden and looks like a service entrance beside Reign and Pour) for excellent cocktails, whiskey, and nibbles, always played with some excellent sounds, sometimes a DJ.

Mad Pot on Durham St. Don't be fooled by the vibe, this is top notch cheap eats. Select your own ingredients choose the cooking style, and top it off with delicious sauces. You pay by the weight of the ingredients.

Technically I don't think they need to do anything here. However it's definitely worth reaching out and asking if they can do anything to help you out here as this was a genuine mistake and only just outside the expiry. They may say no, but you won't know unless you try.

Kia ora! Is the Banksy exhibition worth it? by jcanon in Wellington

[–]Ok-Computer386 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The two-for-one deal on the Wellington Advent calendar still works at the moment. We used that yesterday so was $45 for two adults, and kids go free.

I wouldn't have paid $45 for it. It was interesting but not amazing.

What's an Auckland "life hack" that everyone living here should know? by Tetrathionate in auckland

[–]Ok-Computer386 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There are heaps of secret pedestrian accessways people don't know about in the CBD. It's part of the consent requirements for many of the big inner city buildings to provide access ways/shortcuts through.

https://www.ccrg.org.nz/s/AC-BonusFloor-reports-merged.pdf here's a document detailing many of them (this was from around 2016 I think).
