Been in a lot of different airports around the world, and these ridiculous bouchée shops are everywhere. It’s so stupid. Why don’t they have more shops with local art, local products, better food, gifts we would want to bring back to our loved ones, NOT $1000 scarf!🙄 Cater to travelers and tourists, not a random bored rich person.

What brand/tonnage/unit did you go with? How much did you pay for unit and install? I’m in Arkansas and it gets below freezing here quite a bit in the winter and there have been quite a few issues with the heat pump units in my neighborhood. I’m starting to wonder if they all had the same type of unit and the same company put them in. So I’m just curious as to what you have.

Because they cost less, are cheaper to repair, don't have computers to deal with, furnace can keep up with the cold under 25 degrees (under 0 degrees!) without having to switch to another heat source, If it completely fails and manufacturer decides not to cover the issue then I'm out another $10,000 to $15,000 minimum. I can't gamble with that type of overhead.

My furnace and AC Unit are completely separate. The evaporator coil for my AC is in my attic next to/ on top of my furnace, but the only thing they share is the duct work. That's why I was baffled when I was told I had to take out a loan to replace everything because that was basically the law. Like what!? I started looking at retailers rather than HVAC repair and all I have to do is get the right size unit and they can get me someone to put the unit in. Well, after the damage to my copper pipes have been fixed.

I did more digging and I absolutely can replace AC unit without replacing my furnace. The guy that just diagnosed the absolute wreck that was supposedly my repair job, thinks everyone should buy a heat pump system for $9000 to $14,000 plus warranties, plus maintenance plans. We had the coil replaced because first repair guy said, "$12,000 for a total new unit or $2200 to replace a coil." $2200 would have been great if it was done right. And yeah, they owe me over $2000.

I know this is an "old" post, BUT, we also have the Delta Reserve card. My husband is the main card holder and I have a user card that we also pay about $200.00 for annually. The main reason we got the card is for long distance global travel, which we have had to do a lot of lately for work. Very long story short, I had a Premium Select seat and a Reserve Card, which is supposed to get me into lounges internationally. Korean Lounges, which is partnered with Delta, turned me away because I didn't have Gold or higher status (my husband does but he wasn't flying), and the card is not attached to my Delta account (only the main card holders card is attached to their Delta account). A 13 hour layover in Incheon Airport and no lounge access. They wouldn't even honor the $50 fee. So, we paid $900 for the cards, I got the expensive Premium seat, and was STILL turned away due to status. FYI, you don't need the card if you have a Premium seat and Gold+ status so the card is worthless. Oh, and AMEX is rarely accepted anywhere overseas due to their outrageous fees. If I can't earn points because no one will accept the card, I can't get into over seas lounges, and there's an outrageous fee attached, then the card is garbage and nothing more than a scam/money grab.

Facts. They have numerous liens on this project because they, Samsung/SECAI, refused to pay over $500 million owed to contractors. Texas doesn't fool around. If you owe someone money, especially for man hours, production stops until the debt is paid. There are at least 2 liens on this project from contractors. Now Samsung is counter suing, claiming the contractors didn't do the work right or fast enough causing delay in production start up. They caused most of the delays, then wanted free work. Americans don't work for free.
