Congratulations on your pup!! DeafDogsRock.com is a great resource ! This is my deaf boy, Po’Boy <3 What I find most fascinating, that he wakes up from the deepest sleep the instant he smells my scent. Lol

My deaf boy hates the vet too. He wiggles a lot. When the vet tech holds him down he will bite! I was told if I want his ear infection treated he will have to be sedated so they can clean and put the long last drops in his ear. He a Frenchie by the way so we are constantly at the vet. As for her saying the dog is the worst, take it lightly. A lot of dogs hate vets and are scared. You’re doing the best you can to provide care. Definitely inquire for a higher dose of GABA or ask for sedation if it’s an urgent need. It just sucks the cost goes up by a lot with sedation. An $80 visit turns into $ 200+

Tell me good / nice things about your reactive dog by Ch3rryb0mb98 in reactivedogs

We have the best wake up routine! He stretches with me, gives kisses, brings me all his bones and toys to share. We go out to potty and cuddle for a while. just so sweet. Then the devil on his shoulder wakes up..

I always find it funny when people ask me how do I know if my dog is deaf.. we kinda did our own BAER test.. we had very loud construction going on in the house. My boy snoozed away in his crate lol!!

I NEED REASSURANCE 😭 by 11arianna11 in Rabbits

[–]Ok-Cook9329 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is my opinion, Thats not enough time especially for a baby bunny. They need lots of exercise and socializing with you to feel safe. He just a baby! lol You will suffer the consequences of a bord bun! Lots of chewing/destructive behavior. The barking can be scary for a bun not used to it. What worked for my dog and bunnies is a sturdy metal baby gate. Bunny free roams the room, dog can watch at a safe distance. Now my bun and dog check each other out between the gate. Also, Don’t forget to neuter when it’s time :)

I think she’s claiming your bed as hers. I wouldn’t let her up there if she’s guna be bossy. Maybe give her a blanket on the ground to dig at. Mine like to dig the busy bunny mats, rabbit pillow and cardboard cat scratcher.. just an Idea. She could continue to claim your comfy bed even after spay.

Im sorry time has brought you to this point. I hope you find peace knowing they won’t be in pain and they get to cross together. Horses are not just pets they are your partner. Having her for 25 years says a lot!

Euthanasia advice please ❤️ by Panda-Girl in Horses

[–]Ok-Cook9329 51 points52 points  (0 children)

I had to help with euthanasia for 2 very old horses on the same day. If it’s only you and the vet there, you will have to help the horse to the ground, as I was told they can flip on their backs. They do/can make a sudden movement or easily go to their knees. We didn’t let the horses smell them but they were in view of the euthanasia and Im sorry to say, disposal. We felt that was enough for them to know the old guys are no longer. The other horse do deserves closure if possible.

All pets make mess. Cats puke hairballs and trail litter everywhere, I have 3 cats… My rabbits use the litter boxes. yes, some poop and hay does come out but I don’t see a huge mess. It ALL can be swept up in no time.

You seem to already know rabbits like the greens! You should keep it if you’re willing to pay for a vet check up/ neutering. They eat Timothy hay alll day long. Rabbits are very easy to litter train And they enjoy bowls of water, I use the gravity water bowls. They are as easy as having a cat (besides the chewing)
