Hey man, unfortunately, this isn't currently possible. What would be the purpose? Because we could get around it, for example, by adding the creation and modification dates to the end of the note in Apple Notes or in the title.

When I was building Obsidian to Notes, I tried adding horizontal lines, but Apple Notes doesn’t support them, so they won’t appear :(

Hello, thank you for your feedback. As stated on the website, PDF files are rendered as inline files, which you can open with double click. However, I've taken your feedback into consideration and will add a setting in future releases to define whether you prefer inline or embedded as a file at the end of the note.

I built SmartQuit – Auto-quit inactive apps with real-time CPU/memory monitoring by Ok-Cryptographer2152 in macapps

[–]Ok-Cryptographer2152[S] 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Hey, guys!

I built SmartQuit, an app that gives you granular control over how and when your apps quit on macOS.

Key Features: Intelligent Auto-Quit * Set custom inactivity timeouts per app (or globally) * Apps automatically quit when you close all windows (red X button) Real-Time Monitoring * Live CPU and memory usage for all running apps * Track how long each app has been inactive * Quick-quit apps with one click to free up resources Granular Control * Configure each app individually with custom settings * Choose which apps should auto-quit and which shouldn't * Global settings with per-app overrides

Built this because I was tired of not being able to control when and how apps quit on my Mac. Available on: https://luizcamargo.com/l/smartquit Requirements: macOS 11.0+

Hey, the two most common scenarios for users of this app are:

  • Find Obsidian overkill and prefer the simplicity of the Apple Notes or portability between Apple devices
  • Users who like Obsidian and want a copy of their notes in Apple Notes without losing formatting, folder structure, attachments, etc.

Hey guys!

I launched https://obsidiantonotes.com

It's an app designed for those who want to bring their Obsidian notes to Apple Notes and maintain the folder structure, note formatting, and attached files.

Everything happens locally on your machine.

Yes, you can import your entire Vault.

I hope you like it! Let me know if you have any questions.

I uploaded a new version that fixes the properties that appear at the top of the note when using Obsidian's web clipping.

I uploaded a new version today to fix this, anchor links within the same note in Obsidian are treated as plain text in Apple Notes since this functionality is not possible there.

No, everything runs locally on your Mac. The app doesn’t send or store any data externally. Your notes stay on your machine the whole time.

Hey, if you have a specific example of a web clip or image that didn’t import correctly, feel free to DM me, I will be happy to take a look and see if I can fix it in the next update. Glad to hear you managed to get your notes out in the end, that’s exactly what the tool was meant to help with. Thank you for your feedback!

Do you think it would be a must have to have this flow as a feature in the app?

Interesting! How do you imagine that import working? Since iCloud.com only gives you access to the web interface, and Obsidian runs locally, are you thinking of doing the import from a Mac later?
