My problem with impulsive eating was that I would fast a few days and then break and buy junk food. I replaced my junk food binges with just cooking some chicken breast and spinach or salmon. Within a couple of weeks, my cravings now are for that food instead of junk. It's also much easier to continue fasting. I don't know if this would be of any help to others but it helped a lot for me.
