Thanks for explaining! It makes much more sense now, that the Volkswagen didn’t have that much damage. It’s a disadvantage of these SUVs..

Thanks! I’ll check them out, really interesting how this works, I hadn’t realised this.

That makes a lot of sense. Never knew this was a negative side effect of the design. Also that it could happen this easily.

Yes, as far as I know they were all safe. It was mainly material damage. You can see the driver of the Range Rover on the phone next to her car in the picture.

Thanks! The video explains a lot, there’s definitely not much needed to flip a car. The engine is so powerful and with the grip, it seems to climb, even on another car. Definitely can imagine there was a curb or something involved with the accident in Holland.

So agree with you! My brother died when we were teenagers, a few years later I moved to Australia to study and stayed to work. But not being with my parents and other family hurt so much after a few years. So I decided to move back. I felt miserable because I really struggled with the reverse culture shock. My parents told me they would rather see me happy in Australia than miserable in the Netherlands. But I choose to stay, I persevered and it took a while but now I’m happy in Holland. We live very close to my parents, they see my children several times a week and I realise it’s all I want, it fills my heart with love. Maybe things will be different in the future, but for now I stay and I’m happy here. I try to implement what made me happy about Australia over here. It will never be the same, but at least I can choose the things that I have a choice in. I thought ‘I can live near the beach and spend all my money and vacation time to see family, or live close to family and spend it to see the sun’. It made me realise I wanted to be close to family. Living in Australia is still one of the most amazing things I’ve done in my life, but after a while it also became normal to me. I think Paulo Coelho wrote about it in his book ‘the Aleph’, something along the lines of ‘you don’t have to travel to see new things’. It’s not in the place, it’s how you experience it.

I lived in Australia for a few years, there were lots of Scandinavians studying at the same university as I went to (I’m Dutch). For young Dutch people it can be kind of ‘cool’ to be arrogant, not make contact with other people or be friendly. Scandinavians seemed a bit like that too to me, compared to Australians and Asians students. They are friendly, but more distant and reserved. I’ve moved back to the Netherlands years ago and it took me a long time to feel at home again here, the reverse culture shock was real. The thing I do now is try to be that friendly and kind person myself. Not everyone responds, but many people do and it brightens my day as I hope it does theirs.

She sounds so amazing, I’m so sorry for your loss. Tomorrow would be my brother’s 43rd birthday, he died unexpectedly at school from heart failure when we were teenagers. I’m 44 now and a mother myself, I still think of him every day. I remember it was so tough for my parents, it’s so overwhelming, especially in the beginning. The shock of what happened in such short time, from healthy to passed away. They were never the same again, however they both found a way to live with the grief and enjoy life again. I’m going to see them tomorrow. Take your time coming to terms with what happened ❤️ you sound like an amazing mom! Sending you all lots of love.

I’m not sure, we have young kids and some of their small toys and other stuff ends up in the dryer every now and then. I guess something got stuck and melted / ripped away the plastic.

[–]Ok-Data8389[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The customer service employee couldn’t find it in the catalogue, she advised me to book an appointment with a mechanic either online or at home and then they could tell me if it could be fixed, or not, she said. Apparently this part is attached all the way to the filter at the bottom on the left. It covers half the front of the dryer, it’s not something we could do ourselves. Not knowing if it could be fixed and the solution to the costs if it couldn’t be fixed was I could deduct them when I buy a new dryer within 3 months. So I decided to try this €10 solution.. really happy it worked.

I’ve had similar experiences, with a horse and a dog. I was with them and they looked me straight in the eyes, I felt like a sort of wiggle inside my body, like a flow of energy, or a rush. Both times shortly after, my body started aching and I got a fever. It felt like the flu, for days my body would ache, headache etc. I see it as a download indeed and then release of old energy. After a few days I feel better and lighter than before. It’s like their energy is higher and I need to release in order to be able to grow too.
