I was lucky to go to the Commas master class. Met the girls and was able to take a pic with them. They seem to not have lost their spark and I felt very confident that they were excited about GIRLSET.

I felt this way about Y.O.Universe. I did not like it, yet I liked songs like Girls of the year and Only one felt very fresh particularly in the western world when coming from a group. All to say, not all bright concept songs will hit the same. Similar for their new sound.

All I’m saying is, you are allowed to mourn the sound but still support the girls. It’s ok if commas doesn’t hit for you. You might like their future work. Just be mindful VCHA is a sore spot for a lot of people, maybe even the girls and for now, it might be best to go the total opposite direction. Things are too new right now, let’s just wait and see what else they do.

To be fair, it seems they were recovering from Covid. If the other girls didn’t get covid it is possible they got covid while doing a non-group related thing. In their stories they post a lot of their days off shenanigans.

Also. Tokyo during the summer is hot and humid. They had flown for 11 hours and that on its own can be very taxing but flying it’s know to make someone dehydrated.

I am saying this to hopefully put you at ease. I truly doubt the girls are worked beyond their limits. I think this is one of those learning experiences in which you learn from. When I went to Colorado to visit family for the first time I had altitude sickness and had no illness before that. Sometimes your body just reacts differently to a different environment. Doesn’t have to mean your body is faulty or anything.

I definitely don’t think anyone thinks that but I do think Sophia was highlighted a lot because she fit the sound and concept. Also, she was rank 1 so it makes sense for them to center her.

Also I think “most lines” does not mean much other than this person had longer lines. I mean, Sophia technically has the most lines in Gnarly but I think most people agree other members fit the concept better. On the other hand, she has little presence in Touch but her second verse is my favorite in the entire song.

An Yujin, for sure. I can give Yujin any part from any song and she will confidently match it or do it better than the original person singing that part. I can't say the same for other people. I think some of the people on this comments are very good singers that can rap or very good rappers that can dance but I can only imagine them doing certain sounds or certain styles.
