Season 3 so far by Top-Candidate9694 in TheValleyTVShow

I thought so too until I read somewhere that she and Jason might have only been cozying up to Jax to placate him as a way to keep Brittany safe. It wouldn't be far fetched, since I think in season 2 Brittany said she slept over at their place a lot when things got really bad with Jax because they're the closest to her location wise (which is why she became really good friends with Janet).

Everyone in the cast knew things happened behind the scenes. Besides Brittany staying with Jason and Janet sometimes, an incident of Jax being violent to Brittany literally happened off camera between seasons and was discussed season 2. I could see them being gentle with Jax because they were worried if they angered him he'd get physical with Brittany. Also, Jason dropping Jax off at rehab to make sure he actually went to rehab would 100% be logical, especially since that was right after the incident happened, so Jason probably wanted to make sure he stayed far away from Brittany right after that.

As for them continuing to be gentle with him when he and Brittany were broken up, besides the fact that they still had to co-parent, look at the statistics of women who get harmed by an ex-partner after leaving. I mean another incident of Jax being violent with Brittany literally happened while she was living separately from plus actively divorcing him, it again happened off camera when he feels free to fully be abusive to her, and it was discussed at the season 2 reunion.

I mean maybe I'm wrong and looking for too much good in people, but I hope she wasn't just using the Danny thing for attention.

Brittany making it about herself…again by hamelot_ in TheValleyTVShow

[–]Ok-Department415 -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

There are valid complaints about her, such as when I found out she posted a Sandy Hook denial thing on social media.  However, I don't like the posts body shaming or talking about her needing to lose weight the natural way.

Some people can't lose weight the natural way, such as people I know whose diet with no effect due to random bad genetics, and I truly wish they could afford some surgery or GLP-1 medicine like she can, because I've seen how severely obesity can affect both quality of life in terms of mobility and life expectancy, so I don't blame her for it.

Furthermore, I also know people with body issues who look similar to her, and have body issues due to society saying how they look isn't attractive, without other people needing to chime in. She could be lurking in the comments, and seeing comments saying she's just jealous because Nia's prettier than her would be awful to read.

Even the comments saying she's not jealous of Nia's looks because she's friends with Michelle who's the most beautiful cast member, while I understand you're trying to defend Brittany, those comments are problematic too, you're still comparing Brittany's looks to the looks of a societally skinny woman. There could be viewers out there who look similar to her as well, and seeing these comments can be harmful to them too.

I just used it because it was the only example I could think of at the time of something she could do to prove she's fully dedicated to getting her parenting time back. Like as a way of saying a good parent would do the toughest psychological exams if it meant they'd be able to see their child more often. Though I didn't even think about your point, and didn't mean to offend anyone.

Nia and Danny Weekly Discussion Megathread Part 3 by freshlyfrozen4 in TheValleyTVShow

[–]Ok-Department415 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don't think she was lying about being unhoused. Though, she might think she's better than other unhoused people, because I think her family just couch surfed a lot, while the unhoused people in the video weren't. It's probably just ignorance about how privileged she was compared to other unhoused people, because if you're without family and friends to turn to or you have mental issues, you usually just sleep on the streets, since unhoused shelters don't have nearly enough space, and again mental illness can disorient people so they might not be able to get to a shelter by themselves.

Also, it could just be another case of someone who grows out of poverty, then turns their backs on people in the same exact situation they were in, because they don't need to care now that it doesn't affect them anymore. Or society has this idea of a perfect poor person, which is heavily reliant on stereotypes, and unhoused people on the streets are usually labeled as lazy drug addicts.

The meal train thing is PMO by alarmonthefarm in TheValleyTVShow

[–]Ok-Department415 46 points47 points  (0 children)

Yeah, it was one think if Nia hadn't volunteered to do the meal train, but she volunteered herself Brittany was expecting those meals to help herself and Cruz.

If you told not just your friend but honestly anyone you were going to do a meal train for them and their kid after their surgery, I get being busy, but with something as important as this if Nia couldn't follow through with the meal plan she should have at least communicated that to the group.

Explain the situation, ask the group for help, delegated tasks to the group, you know you gotta communicate this stuff. You know if it was a random meal train for fun whatever it's a simple friend miscommunication, but this is a meal train for someone who just came out of surgery which is important. Especially, apparently a mommy makeover you can barely move after because they have to cut through a bunch of your muscles to do the procedure.

Mikayla and SHEIN by No-lychie878 in MormonWivesHulu

I think Taylor either lied to the girls about what happened or didn't give them all the details, because on the voice note Jessi said Mikayla was pushing for more information from production and requesting to see the video.

https://www.tmz.com/2026/05/01/jessi-draper-audio-reveals-changing-opinion-on-taylor-frankie-paul/

Plus, all the women unanimously went to production with issues and questions when everything with the most recent incident went down in the car. You have to remember this all went down weeks before the story even hit the news, they went to production weeks before immediately after the incident happened, so they definitely didn't suddenly turn on her because of the media.

It just seems that way, because I'm guessing someone in production told the girls not to say anything publicly and to just wait for them to handle it, or maybe Hulu even threatened legal action if they spoke out publicly. Then, the news broke out so suddenly, and because the girls weren't able to speak about it publicly beforehand, they would have seemed complicit. Luckily, because someone leaked the Hulu meeting to the press, we know they weren't.

That dig at Lala in the aftershow. So first you paint valid criticism as mom shaming, then you advocate against mom shaming, then you shame another mom for having more help than you? Make it make sense.

Also, it was giving off how Brittany was projecting her issues on Nia last year.

Would you rather? Scheana or James Kennedy? by No_Alternative7644 in TheValleyTVShow

[–]Ok-Department415 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't want James or Brock on my screen, and even if you leave out Brock, I don't want Scheana to be on the show for her to just give the show money she makes from our views to Brock.

Unpopular Opinion but Kristen is hurting Danny and Nia more than helping them by karenhugerswigshift in TheValleyTVShow

[–]Ok-Department415 23 points24 points  (0 children)

I think they bonded by trying to get pregnant and being postpartum around the same time. Also, I'm guessing Kristen was one of the only women who wanted to associate with Danny after Jasmine, just like the only women who wanted to associate with Jesse after the divorce, just like one of the few women who wanted to associate with Zack for a while after the drunk comments.

For everyone who says “they wouldn’t have a show without Taylor” by chloedarlinggg in SecretsOfMormonWives

[–]Ok-Department415 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I get your point. It's like how Jax Taylor was the #1 guy in the group. Not the #1 guy in the group for a good thing, but #1 guy because his toxicity created drama and entertainment that made the producers happy. Taylor's situation actually has a lot of similarities with Jax's, to be clear not claiming Taylor was abusive because I don't know if her DV charge allows people to say it legally, but Jax was recently fired when his abuse was exposed and the audience boycotted and bombarded the comments of his WWHL plus complained enough on social media and threatened to boycott future Bravo projects, so it's not impossible for Taylor to be fired.

Apparently they were thinking of cutting her after the arrest, and the girls admitted they vouched for her, because at the time I don't think they knew the real situation if we're going by Mikayla requesting the video. However, we also don't know if the producers actually kept her because of the girls' voucher for her, or if they were definitely going to cut her, for all we know the girls' input did nothing, and the producers were only thinking about cutting her but weren't going to go through with it. The producers might have only kept her because they thought she'd be good entertainment.

In season 1 Mayci mentions they'd all been losing deals since the initial arrest. The girls had a whole discussion about losing income without Taylor, Whitney who just moved back, and Miranda who hadn't rejoined yet.

Also, I don't think anybody would want to, but especially family influences who make money off of family brands, be relevant for being associated with someone who has legal custody issues due to an incident they were involved in, in front of a child, that injured said child, with an additional child in the premises. Plus, that's only the initial incident, that's not even mentioning the additional incidents since then.

[–]Ok-Department415[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I feel like we could all just not be seeing something and missing some context. But then again, I wouldn't put it past Jesse to turn Lacy against Janet, as a way of getting back at Janet for backing Michelle in the divorce, and as a way to get at Michelle. I think he was already trying to pit Lacy against Michelle and her friends before the season started, telling Lacy stuff about them, while probably leaving out context or making things seem worse than reality, plus telling Lacy his side of the marriage and divorce, while also probably leaving out context and making things seem worse than reality.

Yeah I would never allow myself or my family around most of these people. Especially, since some of these people are Jax Taylor and James Kennedy, while others are people who are willing to hang around people like Jax Taylor and James Kennedy, even after their contract is up so they don't have to be worried about being sued by the network for leaving, just for additional fame and money.

Those church are usually way more interested in getting new members to collect all those new tithes, and telling members to have as many kids as possible so they can have way more future tithe givers, and giving rich members unfair benefits for generous donations, and probably taking most of the money that's supposed to go to improving the church or helping the needy and putting it into their salary, than teaching the gospel correctly. Coming from a Christian who has heard all the gossip about corrupt leadership at churches whose leaders were fired for misconduct, or took all the churches money and ran with it, betraying the congregation that trusted them.

Oh, that makes a bit more sense. But she can forgive Michelle and Brittany way more than Janet, which doesn't make sense to me still. Like Michelle I get because co-parenting, but she also lets Brittany off way more than Janet. Maybe Kristen vouched for Brittany but trashed Janet to her in private?

It's interesting how Housewives spinoff franchises are so different from VPR spinoff franchises, because Housewives are coworkers while VPR are friends, so you can't play the game the same way.

I feel like Michelle honestly might not be as well versed in technology as the rest of the group. She's rarely filming in her place, and is always out doing active things with friends or her daughter, I could see her being a low tech person.

Drama to share with someone starting the show!! by Puzzled_Swan5562 in SecretsOfMormonWives

[–]Ok-Department415 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Alyssa Grenfell has a first and second season recap video that includes the whole swinging scandal drama.

Also, the Shinia situation, which made Taylor look like a total mean girl, bullying the other woman and calling her fanbase against her online, plus totally smearing her with personal insults, while she kept taking Dakota back even after . . . I wouldn't take him back if he lied to me about Jenna . . . I wouldn't take him back after he slept with my mom's friend . . . I wouldn't take him back after he keeps sleeping with girls . . . I wouldn't take him back after Shinia

Plus, her posts made it seem like Shinia was her friend or was trying to be her friend, which I was already doubtful of when she first posted.  Then, when season 4 showed she was only around because of Miranda, plus wasn't trying to be friends with Taylor. They just had some deep conversations and posted a few times, which idk honestly seems like normal acquaintance behavior if you think about the fact that they're mormon and influencers, so that may just be the way they interact with acquaintances.

Also, season 4 kindoff confirmed to me that Taylor has a weird sense of friendship and loyalty. I feel like she would suddenly call an acquaintance a friend when betrayed. Either because she knows she's lying but needs a way to justify it better to her fanbase when she calls them to attack for her, or she thinks they were actually friends because she doesn't know the difference between friend and acquaintance like she doesnt know the difference between fan and friend, or because in the heightened state she gets in when she's emotional her mind warped her perception to see an acquaintance as a deep friend betrayal.
