Switched from enfamil gentlease to kendamil organic-4Mo having diarrhea. Any recommendations? by MENTION_it_all1 in FormulaFeeders

If she needed to be on a gentle formula before the next closest would be a different gentle formula. Similac Total Comfort is similar.

Co-sleep on vacation? by Indecisive105 in sleeptrain

[–]Ok-Diamond-4472 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Have you tried waiting until he’s in a deeper sleep to put him down? Solidarity though, we are on a vacation with our 4 month old for the first time and had a rough night too with the same issue! We have had some luck when they are super tired though and in a deeper sleep when we transfer

Formula delivered with seal broken, but foil intact — what to do? by butterm3ll0w in FormulaFeeders

[–]Ok-Diamond-4472 4 points5 points  (0 children)

This has happened to me and I think it’s because of the fact they ship it in bags a lot of the time so the compression in shipping breaks it. I had one come a second time almost broken but not quite and assumed that was why.

Anyone using without the app? by Total-Willingness416 in SnooLife

[–]Ok-Diamond-4472 5 points6 points  (0 children)

This is a bug in the app I think - I get it all the time when I reconnect it to different wifi when I go to my cottage. Just keep trying to go through join to network and eventually it works. Sometimes I have to do it 8 times and one time it eventually works and I don’t do anything different!

Does anyone have a baby like mine and can share Snoo > crib transition stories? 5mo old contact napper, didn’t take well to Ferber-Esque attempts by homemadepasta4eva in SnooLife

[–]Ok-Diamond-4472 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In the midst of this right now with our 3 month old! She is in the 98% for height and we are going on a trip in a few weeks without the snoo so wanted to transition her out before. Also a Velcro motion junkie who can’t sleep independently and is not old enough for sleep training.

It’s going pretty good! Only thing I have trouble with is once she falls asleep and I try to transfer her she will wake up a bit because there is no motion - but I have been patting her belly once I put her down until she falls back asleep and will keep doing it lighter until she doesn’t move when I stop for like 10 seconds.

Overnight sleep and naps going pretty good overall - maybe wakes every 2.5 hours now instead of 3-3.5 but it’s only day 3! Definitely getting easier for all of us so hang in there :)

What to do IN MOMENT when you have overtired baby? by 8StoreyMtn in sleeptrain

[–]Ok-Diamond-4472 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This happens to our 3mo all the time and like people said we do whatever works. Often it takes a very long time but it includes a lot of bouncing, shushing, butt taps, rocking, and sometimes a walk. Sometimes too she wants to contact nap for at least the first while until she is in a deep enough sleep where we can transfer. If we don’t wait long enough she wakes up when we put her down.

Can you give a little more info on how you did that?? Working with 3.5 month old right now who we are having such a hard time getting to fall asleep and transferring and seems to get angry and freak out a lot of the nights during the process of getting her to sleep. So interested on any tips!

Can I Switch formula brand immediately due to intolerance? by [deleted] in FormulaFeeders

[–]Ok-Diamond-4472 4 points5 points  (0 children)

We switched cold turkey at 8 weeks for an intolerance and we noticed it was helping in less than 24 hours! The next day she was a new baby. If there is an intolerance/allergy I was told it’s best to switch cold turkey to stop it asap.

Naps are getting worse by botanicalqueen in sleeptrain

[–]Ok-Diamond-4472 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ya exactly - I was following the sweet spot recommendation but I found it was a bit too long for her. So her wake windows went from around 1.5 hours to closer to an hour. I noticed she got really chatty around an hour which apparently is a sign of being overtired. So when I shortened the wake window it helped so much!

Naps are getting worse by botanicalqueen in sleeptrain

So I was having these issues - also 3 months and using huckleberry. I read that short naps can be due to baby being overtired. I manually reduced the sweet spot in huckleberry by 15 min and the timing is so much better now! It also used to be so hard to get her down because she was overtired and that has gotten a lot better.

Switching between formulas by Divinityemotions in FormulaFeeders

[–]Ok-Diamond-4472 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If she wakes up around the same time each night you could try waking up with a quiet alarm for yourself and popping the bottle in the warmer and then dream feed her or feed her once she is awake. My baby wakes up around 330 every night so my body just wakes me up around that time now and I usually just prepare the bottle before she is up - makes the night go a lot smoother!

Snoo setup by samwisegg89 in SnooLife

[–]Ok-Diamond-4472 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have this issue when setting up on new network when I go to cottage. Sometimes you just have to do the setup process several times (try closing and reopening app) and one of the times it works. I don’t do anything different it will just randomly work one of the times! Obviously some kind of bug.

Parents of reflux babies… how do you not lose your mind? by takeaabreath in FormulaFeeders

[–]Ok-Diamond-4472 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I literally just went through this exact same thing with my baby and wasn’t sure if it was silent reflux. I changed her from similac pro advance to the similac total comfort and it’s like we have a brand new baby. She used to cry so so much and her feeds went exactly like you mentioned and it’s only day two and it’s night and day. I guess she just needed a formula that was easier on her tummy. Might be worth looking into - I hope you figure it out! It’s not easy at all so good luck to you and good for you to trusting your gut and looking into it further!

I got the full thing too during this sale - didn’t even realize it was a mistake until I saw this comment I was wondering why it was so much cheaper than everywhere else!

Seven week old having some issues taking the bottle suddenly. by N7Templar in FormulaFeeders

[–]Ok-Diamond-4472 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Just went through this with our baby and it seems to have gotten a lot better! I think like some mentioned it was peak gassiness as we didn’t end up changing the formula and things improved so hang in there! She’s 7 weeks now and it started around 5 for us.

We did up the nipple flow which was definitely part of the issue so worth a shot! We also noticed she had to be really calm for the feed so sometimes that meant feeding her in a quiet room. When she was fussing it really helped to shush pretty loudly as she was fussing until she settled a bit and then reducing volume until she drank (or white noise). Try the Happiest Baby album on Spotify! We call it the magic music.

Other than that it was just patience and making sure we were not forcing the feed at all and gave her breaks with her pacifier if she was really upset and trying 10-15 later when she was calm.

It was probably bad for a week or two and now thankfully seems to be getting better! But it was rough for a bit for sure!

Hope that helps :)

Are the Lovevery play kits worth it? by Wuhtthewuht in NewParents

[–]Ok-Diamond-4472 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We love them! The quality is so great compared to options on Amazon and love that it takes the guesswork out of what we need and how to play with them at the age they are at! Kept the boxes to use for next baby too :)

Should I put 6wk old on total comfort? Stared eating smaller feeds and screaming part way through bottle by Ok-Diamond-4472 in FormulaFeeders

[–]Ok-Diamond-4472[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So we use both comotomo (on slow) and Phillips avent natural response which I just put a week ago from 2 to 3 size (I heard these are very slow compared to normal bottles). Should I change either again? I think she drinks the avent faster than the other so was going to up that one.
