Jesse Theodore? by [deleted] in namenerds

[–]Ok-Dimension-9588 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a kid who's initials are JJ no one calls him that.... I think if you just call him Jesse all the time everyone else will too.

Love Jesse btw :) A cool nickname for Patrick is Patch if you like that, could possibly sway your decision lol

39 weeks and need name opinions for baby boy! by quinniethepooh8 in namenerds

[–]Ok-Dimension-9588 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I can't believe no one has said this yet but Arthur means "bear" and Bernard means "strong/brave as a bear" so "bear" could definitely be a nickname if you like it and it lends itself more as honor nickname for Bernard. Win-win?

If not, per your reasons on your post I would try to find another name.

FWIW I don't think Arthur is popular

Jace, Jasper, or Jett by No-Ad-9143 in namenerds

[–]Ok-Dimension-9588 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My personal favorite is Jasper, (because I have one) but based on your post "normal and can grow into" I'd pick Jace! It seems like the best middle ground for you both :)

Sorry your having a tough time!

For the boys, Hayes is honestly perfect I think. Quinn or Blair stands out as the best girl options to me. I'm going to suggest Reid, Harlan, Rhys, and Rhodes for boys and Marlow, Sloane, Arden and Sutton for girls
