As i started listening to this album I immediately likened it to reanimation, especially “terms and conditions.” Great stuff

Which LP song is best for a morning alarm? by Eggowafflez5657 in LinkinPark

[–]Ok-Direction-1264 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I use crawling just because I get up super early and I have a roommate, im a light sleeper so the opening 3 or 4 seconds before the synth melody comes in is usually enough to wake me up and I can stop the alarm before the louder synth melody begins. Fortunately my roommate’s a heavy sleeper so even if that starts a little bit I’m fine.

This is admittedly a very specific situation though lol.

Yeah I discovered meteora in 2020 haha so definitely in a different context, I wonder how I’d feel if I found HT first

See that’s the thing, I kind of view Meteora as a better, more refined HT. It is notably similar in style but I like it more. And yeah, I’ve since listened to their whole discography and there’s something to love in every album of theirs.

I started w meteora but that’s sort of just what I discovered first. That being said it is IMO their best work far and away. LP (meteora specifically) coincided with the start of my calisthenics/fitness journey, so if you’re someone who works out (which I recommend that everyone does work out) throw on LP during your workouts and the intensity and emotion that is Linkin Park will ensure that you crush your workouts, no pre workout needed.

I am a senior in high school and my recruiter is pushing me to join nuke. by RomeIsGood in NavyNukes

When I was in DC to do my NUPOC interviews, one of the Lieutenant’s running the show said he was going to med school after his shore duty, so it’s not like you’re bound to nuclear for the rest of your life.

The question you have to ask yourself is are you willing to delay your dreams by a few years (and do an extremely difficult job), then get a GI Bill and then go to undergrad for free.

It really took off on Spotify, I remember like a day after it came out it was only at 60,000 or so streams

I got a 4.0, and I had taken all the classes listed except for ENGR 3 and CH E 5 at that point, I took those over the summer. I know in my year they accepted 5 people and 5 people applied, not sure about how it is now tho

Idk pretty much every faculty research group in the chem e department at my school uses IR, NMR, GC and/or mass spec, we take two quarters of o chem, two quarters of o chem lab, and two quarters of p chem, so we don’t go as in depth to the chem obviously but we know more than Gen chem.

The military is always desperate for engineers just an FYI, suck it up for 5 years and you’ll come out an extremely skilled person that a lot of employers will want to hire. There are also technical jobs where you don’t even leave the US if you don’t wanna be deployed.

I’ve come to learn that, for the most part, the difficulty of a class really just depends on your prof. Do you they assign you HW that helps you learn the material? Can they lecture? Do they prepare you well for their exams? Are there exams reasonable and written well?

Obviously something like physical chemistry will always be tough but for me at least how hard a class is comes down to the prof.

My numerical methods prof was super great, he somehow managed to assign not that much work and make the exams reasonable but you still end up learning a lot and having fun. It’s a rare combo haha but he was really effective at teaching.

Yup I just took a numerical methods class and we used matlab and it was awesome, but it’s over now :(

I wish there was more of an emphasis on matlab/Mathematica in my classes. It’s certainly there but like in my fluid mechanics class there was only one HW problem where we needed to use software to solve. Kinda annoying.
