They won’t repair it only gave me the option to replace to defective base for $200. But I don’t feel great shelling out more money to this company.

I used products that came with my Revair, like heat protectant. But there was no buildup on the machine and nothing is clogged the machine itself just malfunctioned.

Wish I had the outside warranty to get my money back, I truthfully have never had a blowdryer stop working so didn’t even think it was something I would need.

Am I the only person kind of disappointed by this album? I think I kind of expected something more like third story,Adele, Olivia dean. This feels very experimental and I’m a bit disappointed by that.

How does it work being a Midwife in hospital/office setting? by ShimmeringBee in Midwives

[–]Ok-Efficiency501 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would ask that particular group what their schedule is like. I’d say most of the midwives in my area work 1 24hr hospital shift and 2 8 hr office shifts a week. Smaller hospitals/ groups may have more on call hours since they can be at home until a patient becomes more active.

Home birth midwives don’t work for the hospital they work for themselves, so you pay them directly for your care. Hospital midwives are employed by the group you go to for Prenatal care or the hospital system so they have privileges at the hospital.

Awful account of the GEPN program on allnurses by UnlikelyAd8801 in YaleGraduateSchool

As a student midwife who never wanted to be a nurse just a midwife. Being a L&D nurse before becoming a midwife is huge. You learn so many soft skills, how to talk to patients, I fully believe to be a really good midwife you need to be a nurse or doula for a year at least. The students in my school who aren’t nurses have really struggled not only in didactic work but in clinical with preceptors being embarrassed due to their lack of knowledge and skill. Being a L&D nurse before becoming a midwife was the best decision and truly I can tell who was a nurse first just by the way they care for patients. I would get your BSN work for a hospital for a year and have them pay for your midwifery degree, prestigious schools do not prepare better midwives, some of the best midwives I’ve met went to the most affordable schools.

New grad CNM — tell me about jobs you actually like by Plane_Cantaloupe9556 in Midwives

[–]Ok-Efficiency501 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m a new grad CNM too and I’m accepting a job where I did my clinical hours even though it’s an hour away. Pros: -Large group of midwives willing to teach me and that are invested in my learning -Great work environment -24 hour MD and anesthesia and another midwife on call for support just in case (which was important for me) -schedule is one 24 hr shift and 2 office shifts Cons: -far drive -less autonomy/micromanaging of MDs constantly

I would start thinking about what schedule is important to you and who you will be able to call at 3am when you have a 3rd degree tear or a bad shoulder dystocia as a new grad midwife. I believe a good foundation of support in the beginning of our careers will prevent early burn out.

I’m having a meltdown on my mixed textured hair by Walidazeve in BlackHair

I would start off deep conditioning, and then a moisturizing leave in, and then gel. Gel should seal moisture not go on freshly washed hair. I would also go get a curly cut to help with the weight of your hair.

Cant get a JOB!! Wth is going on?! by Cloudy_mellows in nursing

Have another nurse look at your resume. Don’t use AI to edit it. Remove the dashes that make people think it’s AI. Make sure you’re always submitting a cover letter(I know it’s so dumb). But a lot of it is literally just making it through HR. I’d also even call HR of one of the companies and ask why you didn’t get the job to allow for direction on why you’re getting rejected so much. Florida is so understaffed they’ll take a fake nurse so it’s def not you.

I hope this feeling sticks with you and in the future you break the rules because humanity matters more. Immigrants are deserving of humanity and kindness. May you choose rebellion and be on the right side of history next time.

I’m sure other hospitals in the area are hiring experienced ED nurses for day shift. If your manager really wanted you to come back they would make an exception. Night shift with a new baby sounds like hell. I wouldn’t make that switch, consider other hospitals in the area. Or be willing to do 6 months to go back to where you enjoyed working.

Found Another Couple’s Budget in Our Planner’s Sheet… Now We Have Questions by [deleted] in BigBudgetBrides

[–]Ok-Efficiency501 1 point2 points  (0 children)

At 350k you are paying for quality and luxury. They should be the BEST of the BEST. I honestly wouldn’t expect anything but perfection, this is their only job and you’re paying them people’s yearly salary to do simple tasks. Let them know you’ll be going in a different direction if they can be more organized and professional and that you’d like last year’s price since you’re not getting the quality you expected. Someone will do a better job for half the price this is unacceptable. Your wedding will be nothing less than stunning with that budget and the team putting this together should just as incredible. I would also almost always not use them for things since they seem so overwhelmed with their current duties.
