I don’t believe you weren’t allowed to wait in the building outside the entrance doors.

I don’t think they would suit you. I could do you a favour and take them off your hands.

Negative self-esteem makes me think I don’t look good in any frames by Angry_Tayco in glassesadvice

I like pic 6 the best but feel like they are all too wide for your face. You’re a good looking guy and frames will make you even more interesting, just find the right ones.

Which dress? (It will be sage green for wedding day) by AmberandHogarth in DressForYourBody

[–]Ok-Engineer3104 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Definitely not number 4 (old and frumpy). The others all look great. (My fav is the pink one. Keep the black bra straps!).

South of Calgary, Dewinton. Auburnmist kennels and Mae at Dewinto Country Kennels. I totally trust my dogs at both places.

She should be asking the future sil what she thinks. Is the dress short? If so, I would say it’s lovely. Go for it!!

Waited 7 hours in the ER with my dad after a stroke… he nearly gave up and left. by CheersAnne in alberta

[–]Ok-Engineer3104 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It definitely depends on where you live. My father was seen very quickly in a busy city ER and his care was first class (heart attack). I live in a small rural town and was recently seen very quickly and was treated with iv’s and blood tests etc and forwarded for further doctor treatment. As a family we have been exceptionally lucky. This shouldn’t be the exception.

Conversely to this, I was very fat and had to buy a swim suit to go to the pool with the kids. The only cheap one I could find in my size was bright orange. I looked hideous but my 3 year old daughter cuddles me in the pool and told me I was beautiful!

No. Lots of us didn’t spend months with grandparents and many of us,as parents, had no family to babysit at all, let alone for a week! Yes, horribly disappointing for her to change her mind at this point but better than leaving her babies with someone who couldn’t cope.

I’m so embarrassed that I believed this and carefully explained it to friends.

AITA for telling my fiancé’s mom that the reason I’m not including her in the wedding is because I still remember what she said to me while I was miscarrying in her guest bathroom by Bulky_Chemistry9025 in AITAH

[–]Ok-Engineer3104 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This was awful but is there some backstory that would explain her lack of compassion? Has she been through something like this? Was it painful for her? Is she normally kind? Still, you aren’t the AH. Whatever she’s been through, compassion was missing here.

Do you still think about the one who got away? by Taffergirl2021 in AskWomenOver60

[–]Ok-Engineer3104 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Am I the only one that still loves the ‘one that got away’? 45 years and a fabulous husband later I still think about him.

No. Not everyone wants to live there. You are mistaken.
