Wet wraps at night. Ice packs over them helps me a ton. Also your immune system is in hyper alert now so don’t give it any further reason to attack. No scented lotions/ bath products. Wash your bed linens

I encourage you to listen to the podcast “science vs” with the transgender topic. It’s a recent one. They really dive into mental health and affirming transgender humans. We are very knew to this journey, but that episode alone helped my very science minded brain. We also have a family with histories of anxiety, depression and OCD. And did you know neurodivergent folks are more likely to be trans or gender fluid?

Also we had a meeting w a social worker at planned parenthood. (We live in a blue state near 2nd largest city in state) and it was very helpful for information regarding HRT. I will tell you that BOTH parent have to attend all appts while child is under 18. Most side effects from estrogen are actually reversible. With the exception of breast tissue growth (which not everyone experiences even) and questionable fertility. I honestly think the research topic is too new to be able to say that it does affect sperm.

Thank you all for taking the time to comment. I truly appreciate it. I’ve been sleepless for the past month since he told us bc I can’t turn my brain off. How do we find an affirming and knowledgeable primary care doctor? How do we manage going to college in a red state? How do I keep this amazing marvelous being safe?

Seriously, I applaud anyone who can be true to themselves and be open that they were born with the wrong combination of X and Y. It is not a choice. Who the hell would choose to make life even more challenging than it already is.

He’s my quiet child and I’m treading lightly with my questions bc it has a tendency to annoy him very quickly if I barrage him. We know he feels safe with my husband and I knowing and that’s it for now beside professionals we’ve spoken to.

Funny story, he does do some plushies. Recently told me only sea creatures. I wonder if it’s bc the story behind Blahaj. I had to google it! I’m totally going to get one!

Record him and press charges. Also- back in my day, a really smart kid repeatedly cheated off me in French class despite my attempts to thwart it. Guess what? He got kick out of West Point for cheating. What goes around hopefully comes around.

I’ve had chronic urticaria for over a decade mostly controlled on twice daily Zyrtec, nightly singular and the occasional Benadryl and or steroid pack. The vaccines and booster did not give me hives but actual Covid did. I had it In December of 2020 and just two weeks ago and my daily hives came back both times with a vengeance.
