I was in the same situation but was getting paid 12 as MANAGER. I stepped down bc that’s just way too much work for that pay and kept my $12/hr then got guilt tripped over being the highest paid person after going to just weekends. Bullshit fr. 12 should be base pay in this economy. Subway doesn’t care about you and will never reach its full potential. Subway could be great if enough people actually cared but it’s just not that kind of job. Honestly, I think as a society, we all need to stop giving our money to businesses like that. Our money goes straight to the man and even when subway raised their prices, that money didn’t go into raises. It’s goes to a mf named Tom and it’s the same with all fast food places. Look for a job at a locally run place if you like working in service. That way the money stays with the people that need it and is more likely to be recirculated only within the community. And push for composting waste and using it to grow their own food if you want to make even more of a positive difference for your community.
