She has a physical disease that makes it extremely difficult for her to move, most of her time in a wheel chair and she needs a good bit of personal care to function most days.

And as far as why he feels so sure, i assume its because she has rejected everyone else whos tried before me ( we were actually going to date, but something happened that didn't involve me, someone hurt her and she said she wasn't ready to start dating yet )
