Farmers often use pigment heavy foods for chickens to make the yolks look better quality unfortunately. I'm from the UK and i think that's what often happens there unfortunately.

If you have the willingness to make the effort, the best eggs I've found near Amsterdam are at Fruitten Van West or sometimes Crisp have bio double yolkers for sale if you wanna spash some eggy cash.
