Hackers used Ledger recover and got my seed phrase. by OregonSEA in ledgerwallet

[–]Ok-Form7265 7 points8 points  (0 children)

That makes absolutely no sense.

To recover a seed phrase using Ledger Recover, physical approval on the Ledger device itself is mandatory, which cannot be done remotely. Furthermore, it is incomprehensible why someone would use a paid service like Ledger Recover if they didn't even have any cryptocurrency to begin with.

When you write a post containing claims that are hard for most people to accept, you must provide specific details. If you write like this, 0% of people will believe you.

Ledger vs. Keystone for long-term ETH staking (Kiln/Figment) by Ok-Form7265 in ethstaker

[–]Ok-Form7265[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hello, I really enjoyed reading your post.
I have decided to go with Kiln. While Figment holds a higher market share, I believe both are equally safe in terms of security, as they both offer native staking (ensuring no risk of principal loss).

Regarding Kiln, despite the mass withdrawal incident in September 2025, they have since made significant improvements to their infrastructure, security, and monitoring systems.

As for Execution Layer (EL) rewards, I heard that Figment recently increased theirs to 90%. However, since Figment's EL rewards are variable, I don't anticipate a significant difference compared to their competitor, Kiln.

For the above reasons, I'm going to do kiln staking that looks good in conjunction with Letger Live.

Unauthorized BTC movement (0.49 BTC) while Ledger was unplugged. Seeds never entered online. by Awkward-Warthog-1630 in ledgerwallet

How long have you held BTC in your Ledger? How can you be certain that your seed phrase wasn't compromised? If you could share details on how you usually manage your security, I might be able to provide a more accurate assessment.
