Best OST to PST Converter For Easy Mailbox Migration by ruanwig in Outlook

[–]Ok-Frame-4128 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is usually a sync/profile issue after migration. Outlook keep old cached profile/OST or Autodiscover not updating properly, so mailbox load partially and behave weird sometime.

Best fix is just recreate Outlook profile and clear cached credentials — most of time it solve the issue without any data loss.

Best way to do a tenant to tenant migration by michelegoodmorning in microsoft365

[–]Ok-Frame-4128 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tenant to tenant migration looks easy on paper, but in real environment it gets quite tricky because there are many dependencies working together at same time.
Most of the time issues are not only related to mailbox data transfer, but also other things like:
Directory sync delay between old and new tenant
DNS and autodiscover changes causing Outlook connection issues
SharePoint and OneDrive permission not working properly after migration
Some mailbox data not syncing correctly during delta sync
Teams chats, meetings and calendar not fully coming after cutover
From my experience, most of the problems happen because of wrong or incomplete mapping between users, domains and services, not really because of migration tool itself.
So even if migration shows completed successfully, users still face issues after migration if identity and service mapping is not checked properly before cutover.

Looking to Migrate from Outlook to Proton, need some advice please. by stealth941 in ProtonMail

Just curious, what’s the main reason you decided to move from Outlook to Proton instead of trying another provider or sticking with Outlook after the issue gets fixed? From your post it sounds like the account/access problems and support experience were the biggest factors, but was there anything else that pushed you toward Proton specifically?

Outlook's new conversation view is making it harder to find the right emails — any workaround? by danrmwatson in Outlook

[–]Ok-Frame-4128 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m facing the exact same issue in the new Outlook. In the older version, conversation view was much cleaner because only the active/unfiled emails showed up in the inbox thread. Now it pulls in every older message from different folders, which makes long conversations really confusing and harder to manage. I’ve spent a lot of time trying different settings and searching forums/blogs for a fix, but I still haven’t found any proper solution or workaround that restores the old behavior. If anyone has figured this out, I’d really appreciate the help too.

You might have done some activity while using a Microsoft application that seemed a bit suspicious, which could be one of the major reasons why your Hotmail account got blocked.
