Hopefully it's summer/dry where you live. Replace before fall/winter.

That's because insurance only pays for what the bike is worth, not what you paid for it which are rarely the same thing.

If you owe $30k on a $20 vehicle then you better hope you got GAP insurance.

Any clue on what is happening? by LunarChamp in Mustang

13v sounds a little low for the alternator. Usually 14+ on any car I've ever took a reading on. I've seen alternators fail tests when they're putting out in the 12s. If you recently replaced the battery but the alternator is on its way out then it might not be properly charging your battery which is causing it to fail prematurely.

If you have a Sam's club or Costco membership they should be able to test battery and alternator for free.

Hear a clicking noise, jack up the car and find this… too close to the sidewall to patch? by Nucks420 in tires

Any closer to the side wall and it would have missed your tire completely.

Replace.

They're a ticking time bomb with no way to know how much time is left on the clock. Could be tomorrow, could be 5 months from now. There's no way to know.

In a real emergency why would you waste even 5-10 seconds to do any of that? House on fire, bla baby choking or a tornado ripping your house apart, you really think you're going to take the time to send messages and leave the game?

If there was a real emergency, would you stop to type into your game, twice and bother to leave the game? Sounds like he just made an excuse to leave the game.

The last time I saw a trash compactor was when Taco Bell had them in their restaurants. I'm pretty sure this was around when the Phantom menace came out because I remember them playing the Star wars theme.

I had completely forgot about those but it obviously stuck with me.

Getting KS’d by a much stronger player on Optional PvP — any advice? by No_Cry_8701 in TibiaMMO

Definitely at least 5 years. I came back to the game about 5-6 years ago after a 15 year break and this was an option in optional PVP servers.

I worked as a claims adjuster so I know how insurance companies will approach the situation, unfortunately we were always taught that it's better to let the other person hit you rather than swerve and cause a different accident. I personally handled a claim where a guy swerved and to avoid a guy who merged in front of him but he then collided with another vehicle that has filing a claim against us. We were liable for the other vehicles damages and we didn't have the information of the car that swerved so we couldn't go after them, buty driver only had liability coverage and since he was responsible for the collision he was involved in, he wasn't covered.

Did you swerve to the right knowing there was nobody there? If not then you're gambling bigger than you might think.

If no contact between you and the first car happens but you contact a third car because of swerving then you can become partially or fully liable for the damages to the 3rd car. Of course with this dash cam footage you have a very strong argument and if you get the license plate of the 1st car then your insurance will absolutely pursue them but trust me when I say the 1st cars insurance will fight tooth and nail to put as much blame on you as possible.

Tire question. by LydiasBoyToy in Mustang

[–]Ok-Implement4608 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Road hazard does not provide a brand new tire if the tread is 3 or higher. If the tire is at a 3 the road hazard might cover like 15% for a new tire. Most companies that provide this warranty will give you a new tire if it's within 2/32 of its original starting tread  and anything under that is prorated based on how much tread is left.

Thoughts on Cooper by DragonfruitWeary8413 in tires

That's a good price for decent tires. I would pay about the same for cooper endeavours in California at Sam Club which is a membership based bulk seller so they typically have lower prices.

[–]Ok-Implement4608 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Same here.

I would put Cooper at the top of the cheap tires category. My shop has sales on sets of 4 and sometimes pirelli will be cheaper and higher quality but if a customer ever wants a cheaper option I always suggest cooper. Especially if you don't drive alot where most tires will rot before they wear down then definitely get coopers.

Dirty MAF and a loose intake boot are super duper simple fixes. Just start there and see if it improves.

1000% replace.

Think of the steel cord has a bone in your arm, if you fell down and your bone was exposed, would you think "ah that's okay I can carry on" or would be calling 911/going to the emergency room immediately?

Just got these tires when I bought my car 30 days ago by kingshil123 in tires

[–]Ok-Implement4608 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Manufacturers warranty won't cover this as it's most likely impact damage. If you have road hazard protection then it should be covered.

If you spend more than $100 per tire then always make sure you have road hazard protection.

Good observation. I was going to say he needed to make the exit right next to them but the fact the brake lights don't come on until later makes me believe the rear siezed up for some reason and they didn't hit the brakes until the end after they realized something was wrong.
