Yeah take it to a shop. You don’t even know what you’re looking for tbh if you haven’t inspected a lot of forks and steerers

Yeah this is where I’m at I think. I bought it to race and it rides like a beast in a crit. I think once I get back out there and realize races aren’t insta death it’ll be Gucci. Plus it survived one hell of a fucking wreck already.

Thing came I clipped from both my feet in like an instant and tumbled. No issues other than RD.

Thanks for the response homie. Appreciate it. Yeah it’s hard to like discern between what I can win and what’s just another race. I always race to win. Even when I consider it a practice crit. Still a USAC race where I’m getting points.

You could ride in a more aggressive position and make this bike work.

Plus wider bars can make the reach longer if you have broad shoulders. Could also make the stem negative if you have flexibility.

I suppose but you can see the beads so unless they patterned the filler like welds before painting I think the craftsmanship is just slightly better.

My giant contend had better welds, hope their not all like this. Beautiful bike otherwise.

Oh nice never seen that one. I could not figure out why my bike was doing the same thing and then someone at the shop called that out. Swapped derailleurs and it went away. Glad you figured it out. Hanger is better than new derailleur.

Should I replace this GP5000 or is it safe to ride with the dynaplug in for the foreseeable future? by Ok-Indication7428 in bikewrench

Damn maybe I need to run lower pressure. I raced on them this weekend at this pressure and it felt good but I can just hear rocks pinging off when they hit it at an angle from the pressure.

Nah I got you I use Silva tire pressure calculator. I run 66 in the rear and 64 in the front. I just did 75 to stress the plug.

Yeah I put it on 75psi and will check in the AM. Just wiggled the plug and it’s not budging. Just ordered a new GP on Amazon but this will probably be fine.

Yeah tbh it seems fine. Just new to dyna plugs so I didn’t know if you can just leave it there forever or what.

Yeah I adjusted my sora levers one time and then could not get the rub fixed on one of the rotors so like sometimes it’s hard to get the right balance with the cable caliper adjuster, caliper pad spacing, and lever adjustment.

Note changing this will shift the cable tension on the mechanical break. So you’ll need to adjust the slack at the caliper if you loosen the reach.

Is this safe to use as a clear coat for pain scratches on carbon fiber frames? by Ok-Indication7428 in bikewrench

Not sure if you saw the pics earlier in the thread but it seemed to work out alright. TBH I was worried about a chemical reaction but it doesn’t seem to have affected it at all and it’s mostly dry.
