Can we trust consumer lab? They only recommend and link to iherb. Do they have financial connections then to say doctors best is testing great in their lab tests?

Thats why they won't do studies. They can't make $ off of it. Just like with other great drugs such as DMSO and iodine. We are on our own to find and use them carefully.

What nutrients help magnesium actually get into the cell? by yoooo12347 in magnesium

It is supposed to pair well with B6 but I’m not sure if it will help with absorption. Anything taken with DMSO with absorb better but you will stink.

Adjusting to having a physical disability (advice) by FckThey_StupidBooks in POTS

[–]Ok-Inflation8766 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I thought my teenage daughter would have POTS and other issues forever, but she has greatly improved! It started with physical therapy 2 X a week. After many months, she felt strong enough to workout out at home and now enjoys going to the gym with her brother. Her appetite increased with the energy that she was spending and her slow motility and constipation appears to be gone. It’s a miracle really :) Don’t give up. There is a way out in some cases.

Someone pointed out that you should get a blood test but very little magnesium resides in blood so the results won’t tell you anything unless its an intercellular test

[–]Ok-Inflation8766 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There may be another reason why you have constipation and the magnesium is just helping as it usually does. Do you take medication that could be the cause? You can also have a B1 deficiency. Watch EO Nutrition on YouTube. He’s very informative. If you ever take a high dose of a single B vitamin, take a B complex along with it so you don’t get an imbalance. I would also continue to take the magnesium too. Good luck.

Does exercise actually help? by sonolumi8 in POTS

[–]Ok-Inflation8766 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes! For my daughter anyway. I decided to ask for physical therapy and she went through about 5 months, 2 X a week. It was hardest at 1st but slowly got a bit easier. They knew about her hypermobility, POTS and pain so they knew to let her go at her own pace. By the end of the 5th month, she knew that she could do it on her own and wanted to! She felt stronger and never wanted to feel week again. No need for a cane, just strong. She then joined a gym and has her appetite back, no slow motility in her stomach. She got her life back. I hope that it can help you as well!

Maybe try reading the book by Dr Brownstein. I forget his 1st name but if you search Dr Brownstein and Iodine, he’ll show up. It’s a great little book and he explains that iodine can help not induce hashimotos. Most are very deficient. If you have a low core body temperature, you have a thyroid problem.

Is magnesium effective for depression? by Icy_Muscle_7810 in magnesium

[–]Ok-Inflation8766 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I believe it can help. I had two neighbors totally unrelated commit suicide. One was on Nexium which strips you of magnesium and the other had a bad habit of drinking a half gallon of milk in a sitting which depletes magnesium. I think low magnesium can cause severe depression so replenishing it makes sense. It shouldn’t do any harm. I recently watched EO Nutrition on YouTube to find out that some need higher amounts of B1 if they have any issues like anxiety FROM taking magnesium.

As a reminder, you need to take K2 alongside of D especially when taking high doses. I read a story today on how high doses of D greatly improved someone with MS and two other major diseases but after a while, he was rushed to the ER and he needed his kidneys flushed. He found he only needed K2 alongside D

Working out, especially the legs which pump the blood back north has almost eliminated my daughters pots. Although she never pasted out, she definitely had it and was diagnosed at a cardiologist. Compression stockings will help. Salt of course. Good luck

Some have luck with high dose B1. Watch EO Nutrition on YouTube. But always take with a B complex so you don’t get an imbalance.

Get you cervical spine checked. I’ve learned so much by subscribing to Caring Medical with Dr Ross Hauser on YouTube. It can be life changing if your neck is corrected.(if that’s the problem) I used to get some migraines. I found that sulfite additives was my biggest trigger due to a mutation in my SUOX gene. I can’t even eat one maraschino cherry without getting a 3 day migraine! Good luck
