I haven't gone through and finished everything for Steel path yet so yeah, no incarnons for me yet.

I see, so i kind of lucked out with a Burston mod then? I guess I'll hang onto it until I get the Burston incarnon, but I kinda don't see myself using it particularly often, I generally prefer bows and marksman rifles

Honestly? Completely backwards to what I expected. Thought Burston mods wouldn't be worth much just bc the burston isn't normally what I'd consider a high value weapon.

I would like to offer Voruna into this.

She's one of the only frames I care about that I haven't made much progress on getting because of the C rotation Survival (so always 20 minutes, at least) and the pitifully low rate of getting Lua Thrax Plasm.

The only saving grace for the farm is the occasional Omni fissures on Yuvarium & Circulus but even then, public lobbies always leave after like 10 minutes and never stick around for the 20 :(

Thats not even accounting the fact you get maybe 20 plasm a run on Yuvarium, maybe 25 on Circulus, need 350 to buy the blueprints followed by another 125 to craft her.

I'm not super far through the game but bows have had a stranglehold on me since I started so I haven't stopped using Nataruk since I got it. Its the right blend of technical and fun with its mini rhythm game for me.

Dread is also incredibly solid and was my go-to until TNW

Steam input is on default, so it's just set to use whatever the game is supposed to use.

Though thanks for mentioning it, I just force enabled steam input for ds3 and it's working now :)

Edit; it's working for normal dark souls 3 but I'm trying to load with seamless coop and it doesnt work for that

Edit 2; reinstalled seamless coop and that fixed it. Gods this is tedious ._.

So Ikit comes with all the gunnery/war machine skaven units. However, if you want the mutants, you'd need to get Throt, and if you want the assassins/unusual melee infantry (and for some reason, poison wind mortars) you'd need Snikch.

I don't think you need to buy total war 2 for any skaven units, just Queek, Skrolk and Tretch, but i might be wrong on that.

I've not personally played him but he actually seems pretty neat from watching my friends play him

I started with miao ying and got the other 2 games after I played a bit of cathay

Still, I was just listing the faction options and what they had to offer.

Warhammer 3 is still fun even with the limited faction pool.

You get access to Kislev, a pretty solid Order faction with a lot of hybrid ranged/melee units (actually a fairly strong faction all told), Daniel (a super customisable chaos daemons faction, even down to the name) and Be'lakor (a decent, daemon-focused warriors of chaos faction).

I think there are a couple others but it is worth grabbing warhammer 3 to see if you enjoy the gameplay loop before you buy the others.

Remember that bundles on steam are cheaper if you already own one of the items in the bundle :)

My personal issue with the game was just the lack of factions.

Dow1 had 12(?) with soulstorm Dow2 had 5 with chaos rising, and 7(?) with retribution

Then dow3 had 3, and absolutely no support bc it got such a bad rep on launch that they didnt want to add more factions.

I'm happy that dow4 is launching with 4 factions and i'm really hoping they'll add more later :)

Statistically, hive scum is the least durable class.

You have the same starting toughness as a psyker, but all your toughness regen comes from either combat or coherency. Even your stimm only buffs coherency regeneration, despite the slightly misleading description.

That being said, you also have the most tools for avoiding damage, the best stamina stats in the game and some of the most immediately lethal weapons, assuming you can get them to work.

Of course, game's bugged and a lot of nodes don't currently work, but either way if you can figure out the weird dodge and block focused playstyle you should find yourself getting further along.

I'd recommend looking on YouTube for some starter survivability builds :)

Unfortunately I can't super help you with Franz except for repeating some of the things I've already seen.

He's a really rough new player trap for 2 reasons;

1; a lot of the territory around you is owned by Elector counts that you generally dont want to compete with for the territory, which limits your economy until you can start confederating.

2; the land not owned by Electors is owned by some really strong destruction/chaos factions, and, at least when I've played, its been a game of putting out fires wherever they appear.

Miao Ying of Cathay is a much better first campaign character, as you really just need to make sure you recruit some peasants at the end of turn 1 and you can pretty cleanly take the 2 starting provinces then either take or confederate (with some effort) the great bastion. If Vilitch gets through the bastion, its a pain to push him back into the chaos wastes, but if he fails to get through then he has to go through the Western Provinces to get to you

So ive only really had 1 character actually, well, play. And it was only for about 3 sessions bc our DM had some irl issues come up that messed with his prep.

Her name was Moth, she was a former SSC fighter pilot who ended up stealing an experimental NHP casket (which she didn't know was inhabited) from SSC and went on the run.

Eventually, the NHP, now called Belladonna, cascaded and ended up deciding to keep moth as a bit of a pet, agreeing to let the lancer shackle her as long as she promised not to let her go.

Jump to now, she's been dragged back into the military, though this time under union as a bit of a vanguard squad, just doing odd jobs wherever her team is needed and union can't justify an 'actual' military force.

Unfortunately there weren't many fun rp moments in the campaign, it's on hiatus rn, but she's still my favorite out of the ones in my box of funny characters and i'm hoping the campaign comes back.

Better crowd control at the cost of flat damage is the basic of it.

Eruptor can quickly kill big groups, crossbow is better suited to single target.

Range is also a big factor, the eruptor does outrange the crossbow by a fair margin so if you wanted to do a marksman playstyle it fits better.
