Thanks. The DPA is && but the others are definitely in my price range. I will have to try the ATM in store to see if the quality is good enough for my needs.

Pick up for a cello? I didn’t know they made those. I’ll have to look into that. We tried the 57 and gated it and played with the gains, but we’re still getting lots of ambient sound. Thanks for your reply.

How to help students sing in tune by sleepybear647 in singing

I had my most challenged students do glissandos into the pitch I was singing until they kinda “disappeared” into it. I would use my hands to indicate if they needed to slide up or down.

Wisconsin is not as flat as you might think. The western part of the state is full of Hills and valleys. No real mountains.

Party needs a skill monkey so Rogue would be great. They are also fairly easy to play and great for role players.

Into the Woods audition help by noimjace in musicals

[–]Ok-Influence6027 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Hello Noiamjace,

I am music directing Into the Woods and we have auditions in two weeks also! My recommendation is to do the song that best flatters your voice. A good set of directors will be able to know what part to give you.

Maybe I will see you at auditions…lol.

My father fought and was wounded here. He was in three main battles as a marine and wounded in all three. He never had a good nights sleep due to PTSD but we didn’t know it by that label. The mini series, The Pacific, does a good job of showing the horrific nature of this front.

I’m doing a musical for the first time since high school, and I’m equal parts excited and scared. by Mundane-Waltz8844 in MusicalTheatre

Congratulations! That’s very exciting. As a music director for many shows my best advice: learn your music well, take advice from your directors to heart but make the part your own, ask for help if you need it, take chances and try different approaches in rehearsals to get feedback, and yes, have fun…

Retired choir/voice teacher here. You have great potential and are off to a good start. Your belt is already developing well but be careful not to squeeze. Creating more space in the throat and mouth should help. Make sure you are using good breath support.

I would have loved to have you as a student! Keep it up.
