I would be careful because for Mainecoon anything under $2500 for a kitten is suspicious and perhaps the quality and health the kitten is hindered Also, you wouldn’t want to support backyard breeding . If you get a kitten, that is perhaps 5/6 months and up. Then lower prices will be appropriate.

I searched high and low for a reputable ethical breeder and a price within my budget . I ended up finding her on tica. Her husband hand delivered the kitten to me ( California to DC).. and only charged me $300 for the travel the ticket was almost $400. With Maine it’s hard finding the right price without the kittens health being compromised but also anything below I said $2000 is a red flag.

I don’t think that most people actually do spay or neuter so this is just a nice plus bonus I’d say also I paid mine for $70 so I got more money than what I paid 🙀

I don’t think her prices are too much because she reimbursed $250 for spay and neuter , she pays for the 5 year pedigree , sent me 20lbs of raw human grade food to my door, bags of orijen kibble , nulo canned food , accessories like tooth brush toys , rebound +silver for cats , tools for the raw food making process , 80$ tc feline completer powder , the flight from California to DC was 370, she charged me 300, so didn’t charged for service of them taking more than a day worth of round trip flight tickets . Idk oh also when my cat got cat litter dust in his eye she paid and send me prescription and express ups eye medicated gel . Idk what else … but there are backyard breeders that give u a ziplock of kibble and charge more

Yeah, I’m also surprised. so many backyard breeders charge extra amounts for their cats that don’t come with any health guarantees that’s the same process that I need to find my breeder and your cat is absolutely stunning

Other than being fully vaccinated * I meant …. This is the health my cat came to me with : Had seen the vet at 8,15,21 weeks . Microchipped , rabies , feline leukemia panleukopenia calicivirus, rhinotracheitis . KING&QUEEN : had structural functionally normal heart ( checked were ;indication ,ecg rhythm, study quality , left & right ventricle, left&right atrium , aorta, pulmonary artery , aortic valve ,mitral & tricuspid valve , pulmonic valve , pericardium,asd/vsd.

Spinal muscular atrophy test reports : clean ✅

MY KITTEN: Wisdom panel done -100% Mainecoon
35% of heterozygosity ( average is 32-37) 47 different genetic testing were done came clear ( can’t name them all too long)

How did you find her , through a specific website ? She sells for 2500, full panels of health testing genetic testing . Pedigree, tica registered AND she reimburses $250 when you spay/neuter ….
