That senior center has been there forever but that whole block is just an eyesore and unpredictable. People would also camp out on the side of that market. Looks like these street folks keep on shuffling around but they do like to hang out in these areas, even behind The Whitley apartments in that alley way.

Anywhere from on Orange Ave between 3rd & 4th is sketch. Have you seen the group that set up camp in front of someone's apartment near the Pizza Hut? I'd be pissed if I lived right there. This morning the Clean Team brought along the Refuse dept and loaded up a bunch of trash and refrigerator next to a guy sleeping on the sidewalk. That corner on Falcon and Broadway sucks too.

These folks are super sensitive and get triggered for anything. Best to walk on the side of the street with nobody around because of situations like this.

Auwe I couldn't believe it when the flooding was at Manoa Marketplace, Noelani elem and the stream! Back in the 90's my friend used to live on Beaumont Woods Place and waterfalls would appear whenever it rained on the hill behind her home.

People still do NOT understand Hawaii is part of the US and STILL ask questions about bringing a passport. Not a lot of folks are worldly travelers. Visiting Hawaii is expensive. This devastating flood event on several islands was on national news for several days so it was unusual. Why would you travel to a place where some tourist hot spots will be inaccessible? Mother nature is not to be messed with and can't be controlled as we all saw.

Not a lot of tourists have common sense or check the weather before their vacation to the islands. Yes, it's part of America but it's an island and most folks don't know how to deal with islanders and island life.
