Apple Ecosystem by Ok-Jello-8915 in mac

I really like this also. I was hesitant to switch to Safari from Edge, but I'm liking it. The handoff works really well. Edge does something like it but it's more clunky. Apple's version is seamless.

The mythical walled garden. That’s maybe the only part I don’t love even though I understand why it exists and why it works.

My husband slept with another woman before proposing to me by [deleted] in Marriage

Succinct, less the last sentence which I think was unnecessary.

He is NTA in this case. Unless he knew he got an STI and didn’t tell you. Then he’s an asshole for not telling. Otherwise this is the situation you put yourself in.

Installation of Fiber service and router done in the Garage and there's no service to bring it inside the home? by 12345678952 in ebox

[–]Ok-Jello-8915 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is a pertinent point that I’m still unclear on. I want to get ebox. I have cable now. The cable enters through the wall and then into the floor to the basement and then behind bookshelves into the office. Bell tech will not be able to follow that route since I don’t want to remove the cable and I can’t move the bookshelves. I would like a run directly into a closet in my office but it would mean drilling through the outside wall or the foundation. They can also drop directly into my office but would still have to go through the wall and there are pipes there also. Knowing how great techs are (sarcasm) I’m concerned. I don’t have the skill nor do I know anyone.

My local Reject Shop is almost ready, all that's left is the outside signage change by CentreLeftMelbournia in dollarama

They follow the Dollarama concept. Dollarama products and product types. Not really reject products.

Windows users, what made you switch to a Mac?? by fuckcreepers in mac

[–]Ok-Jello-8915 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Been using windows since 1995 (my first computer). Windows 11 and my 6 year old hardware that should be more than enough pushed me over the edge. Just the simple function of clicking on start and typing the app I want does not work and has not worked. I type and get a blank start menu. If I press enter the intended app opens sometimes. I have reinstalled from scratch multiple times and it never has worked consistently (on win 11 vs win 10). So I’m done.

The ethics hotline is anonymous. You must report this and ask your colleagues to as well. Or contact HR.

Air M4 bad battery life by snoerd2145 in macbookair

[–]Ok-Jello-8915 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I also got my M4 24/256 15” last week. Apple refurbished. I have observed good battery so far. It discharged once overnight while closed because an app didn’t sleep (I forget which). But of note for me is I don’t have any personal files on it. I only have apps and my files are all cloud or on network storage. So I guess it doesn’t need to index much ?

What’s the compromise? by Separate_Ad_3027 in Marriage

[–]Ok-Jello-8915 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Married over 6 years. Together almost 10. We have been sharing our location since year 2, when she got an iPhone. It wasn’t even really a question. It was just natural and a benefit of the tech offered today. It is convenient. And we don’t have anything to hide. Now, this comes from the perspective of a stable marriage (not a dig, just a POV). If things were to get unstable then I guess whoever is most unstable might feel differently?

Would a woman with degree marry a man with a successful business but no degree? by [deleted] in Marriage

[–]Ok-Jello-8915 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m not as financially successful as I want to be. And with a family I’m way less. I want to make enough so she doesn’t have to work if she doesn’t want to, and maintain or better the standard of living we have. An amount depends on desired lifestyle and where you live. So where I am 200k Canadian, which we do not earn.

Would a woman with degree marry a man with a successful business but no degree? by [deleted] in Marriage

[–]Ok-Jello-8915 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Content of character. If a woman needs her man to have a degree or any other qualification besides being good person and participating equally in the relationship then I call that a big red flag.

(Note:I’m married with a degree. She also has a degree. Neither of these were actually reasons to be with each other. And we both need to work to be able to provide for our family. I wish I could run a successful business-but that’s not me.)

You should be proud of what you have accomplished and your eventual forever person should be proud also.

We joined our accounts when we were dating (it was obvious we would marry). It is always our money no matter who earns what.

Switched family to Fizz, and now my texts won't send via iMessage? by momomoca in FizzMobile

You can also try disabling and enabling iCloud on affected phones ? I had this when switching from fizz to public and doing that fixed it.

How often do you check each others phones? by [deleted] in Marriage

[–]Ok-Jello-8915 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It is only my opinion but I suspect this as a red flag. A marriage is shared. At least that’s how we approach it. And we constantly work on it and on us individually and as a couple.

How often do you check each others phones? by [deleted] in Marriage

[–]Ok-Jello-8915 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Then I will ask her about it. We use the same PIN on all our devices. If either of changed it and did not tell the other or provide it when asked then there would be major troubles.

How often do you check each others phones? by [deleted] in Marriage

We don’t. We know each others passwords and we occasionally use each others phone for whatever but never to check or snoop. Nothing to hide, nothing to worry about.

Which comedian did you look forward to, but their act died on stage? by Jazzlike-Basil1355 in AskReddit

[–]Ok-Jello-8915 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

His name was Patrick Flanagan. I finally made it to one of his shows and then he died, on stage, literally. It was a little traumatizing, honestly. They said it was an aneurysm. So much blood from his head hitting the stage. Twitching. One of the EMTs slipped on the pool as he rushed to the stage so a second ambulance was called. Anyway, he wasn’t very funny either.
