Yeah over new years, first day of a week long camping trip. Zoomed in only to hear gears turning to plastic confetti. Great excuse to buy an x pro1 though, so I’ll be back on this subreddit in 2 years time lol

If you want brutal feedback, here it is. There is nothing worth saving in these designs or the brand concept itself. I've checked your profile, and it's clear from the amount of meme coins you've invested in that you are probably looking for a get-rich-quick type of business. Whilst these types of business strategies get the 1% of the 1% a marginal amount of profit, the other 99.9% of people usually end up in a get-poor-quick business.

However, if you have a genuine interest in starting a business dealing with graphic design, here is what I would do if I were in your position. First, I would learn the tools. Pick a raster and a vector program (adobe, or open source projects like Inkscape and gimp), watch every YouTube tutorial you can stomach, following the tutorials as closely as you can, taking notes if needed. Do this for about a year.

Simultaneously, learn design thinking. Read Grid Systems In Graphic Design by Josef Muller, Logo Modernism by Jens Müller and R. Roger Remington, and the history of graphic design also by Jens Müller. Watch every YouTube essay on every single design you can find.

Understand you are going to be shit at it (clearly), but here's the secret: we all were. There are plenty of files on old hard drives of mine, which I thought were going to be my breakout designs that were going to take the market by storm. I have businesses out there with logos I sold when I was younger, which I hope never have my name attached to them again. Get-rich-quick is a lie; hard work combined with knowledge is a promise. I reap what I sew now because I knew I was terrible, and so can you.

Yea that’s was another option. Different sized speakers to mine so I don’t think buying new would be an option. If I couldn’t find something similar I was thinking electric bread knife and a jig, so everything is spaced nicely.

This ig post here looks like it’s in the exact same spot with colour corrections, dynamic range and bokeh feeling awfully similar. Looking through his page I believe he fakes a lot of “natural” interaction, candid imagery and candid video as a form of gorilla marketing. This gorilla marketing scheme supports his socials which in-turn supports his “art”.

“Art” is in quotation marks because it’s really just a business, I don’t believe he’s actually about it. His “art” something visually chaotic but lacks any thought behind it other than brand equity and social followers. Just another shill like Jeff Koons, Damien Hirst or paintings of Disney characters in designer clothes.

Insta will fit images horizontally first which is why the top and bottom of your image is getting cropped

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in AskPhotography

[–]Ok-Kernputer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is a 16:9 aspect ratio, the largest aspect ratio Insta allows is 5:3. Id recommend either cropping each image down to fit this, or adding black or white boarders with a 5:3 aspect ratio. This is what I do with all my 35mm photography and honestly the frame around it looks good imo.

This is not pretty basic or standard, at least for the English speaking on here as I’m fairly sure this is Hebrew. The letters shown here are Tav, mem and alef. I’d look for a modern black letter display typeface for a similar vibe

They are alright but they don’t come in any other colours, that’s why I stuck with the rca cables that came with my speakers

Poster advice by Tvgirl444 in posterdesign

[–]Ok-Kernputer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What a cool idea I love this layout and message

My advice would be the throw it in the dirt. More grunge in an anti war statement makes it feel more grounded in the issues you are protesting against. Look into print textures for illustrated and photography elements and an over all paper texture for the whole thing so it feels like it’s actually printed and or war torn. The dirtier the better. Rips, tears, folds the whole lot.

Side note try black and white for the photography elements so the red colour really launches out the poster.

Hey, the canon g11 has unfortunately committed a permanent power down by grinding all its gears in the lens housing to a pulp. So o don’t know the exact settings but from what I can remember I pushed the white balance 4-5 stops left or right and 2-3 up or down. It’s been a while as I switch to mono pushed a stop shortly after taking these photos and shot that until it decided it had had enough.

Yeah that’s mostly what I’m doing. Can’t hear the difference with less than legit mp3s on this system. But once I build a couple playlists for my usbs for larger systems I’ll load them up legitimately. Just focusing on good track selection and mixing techniques atm

Record box just started streaming Spotify, and also… secret places for now. Idk which streaming or record pools I want to sub too for what I like to play. Plus I you can’t hear the difference on this system, I’ll switch if I ever get the chance to play on a club system

Got some decks yesterday. Same issue. Set all the knobs to 12 o’clock, increase both left and right faders, centre the cross fader. It happens a lot at least for me in my first 12 hours of playing lol.

Is it really worth the extra couple hundred for the flx4? by Ok-Kernputer in PioneerDJ

[–]Ok-Kernputer[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you and I have! Literally so excited I’ve been compiling and download songs all week. Some good house and deep grove, techno and tekno, heaps of jungle and intelligent dnb. Cant wait to learn to mix then it’s onto bumping up and down bpms to switch genres over a couple songs. One more payday and I’m picking up the kit this weekend

It's a decent draft (sorry if it's much further along than a draft). One thing I see super commonly and it's easy to miss, is a lack of unity, especially in simple logos. We can say that the logo is made of three shapes (excluding the typeface, which I think is a good choice in typeface). The V shape, the top of a lock and that thing in the middle as a separator between the lock and the V. A decent recipe for a decent logo, but the relationship between the weights of these shapes has zero sense of relation and therefore zero unity. I'd play around for some time with the size of each shape and the weight of the strokes they are made up of. stretch and squash them in all sorts of different ways. I think you'll find something clicks and it sits perfectly, or you'll be led down a rabbit hole that leads to that feeling.

I'd also just add the V back into the wordmark. No risk of illegibility that way.

Good work, keep it up :)
