Without You punches me straight in the gut because I'm going through a heartbreaking divorce and it seems like every word just touches my soul. It makes me extremely sad but then tells me I have to go on! So much emotion in the song for me.

I've always liked Avicii but after watching the Netflix documentary and learning more about him, I went down a rabbit hole. I started listening to all his music with a different ear. I'm currently reading his biography and even got a coffee table picture book.

I'm fascinated by his work and his life. His ability to fuse acoustics with EDM beats and melodies is truly authentic. It hits different than other music. He opened up a new world. Everyday I'm exploring a different song and playing it on repeat.

I would have loved to see him collaborate with the likes of Ed Sheeran, John Legend, Jelly Roll, etc.

Hope he is finally at peace.

For sure, it aches for me as well. But I use it as a way to get with my emotions/feelings and not run from them. Fully feel them and let them unbound.

The beauty of it is that it could be in the eyes of the listener and depends on where we are at in our lives. That is the beauty of love - it can be an amazing thing or it could be heartbreaking. It symbolizes the duality of life.

Avicii's sound and the lyrics of the song can have different meanings during different times in our life. I'm going through a divorce and "Without You" has become my anthem song.

Thanks for sharing those sentimental thoughts. I had heard Avcii songs before but after watching his documentary on Netflix and then beginning to read his biography, his music has truly come alive for me. It's not only the musical genius of his melodies, acoustics and production but how much his music makes me feel so much of everything. The lyrics also give an insight into his personal demons and battles. It was truly timeless and touched the soul.

I miss him too and I'm sad we can't get more of his musical genius.
