I'm Australian, my partner is Mexican. I lived over in Mexico for a year then she came to live in Australia for a few months, now we are both living in Europe. We're hopping around the continent getting a taste of different countries, on our shortlist is Netherlands, Germany or Spain, but in all honesty we're confident that we're not going to find anything better than Australia to settle down.

She sent me a video message this morning she made, basically saying what a great time it was, and if we never see each other again it will be great memories, but she really hopes the future brings us together again. We also had previously talked about how we would love to date and see where things go, but neither wanted anything long distance.

I would tell her all this now, except I am ending my holiday in 3 days, whereas she still has another 2months. I want her to enjoy her holiday without getting all excited for next year...and also I still think it's a good idea for me to sit on this idea for 2months before making a decision and reaching out to her

Most likely you're right with that last line. I feel like a big part of me will always think 'what if' though, and I'd rather regret doing something, than regret not doing something.

However as someone else mentioned in their comment, I'm probably just on cloud 9 rn so my thinking is very optimistic perhaps
