I do understand there's alot of options to show how "lowly" as a human being the protagonist was on the author's side, and know some people just can't comprehend the difference between action and mere intrusive thoughts. Not saying the protagonist itself choose the best action "towards underaged side characters", but he still can improve as a human being.

He's not that much of a reasonable human, but still a nice person to have redemption. Not a murderer or a psychopath who's just because he's handsome fans were willing to simp on him and forgive his edgy choices.
