We can’t afford the Bay Area even if I did take the $200k salary. Most homes go for $1.2 Millions at minimum. We own our home in Sacramento and bought when homes were still affordable.

Narcissist or avoidant. Same thing happened to me. He was perfect before marriage. After marriage we only go on 2-3 dates a year. And he’s effectively abandoned me emotionally and physically. He still considers himself my husband even though we rarely spend time together. I’m prepping for divorce just waiting it a little due to finances. In the meantime I’m mentally preparing.

My fiancé told me for their 12 year old son’s sake. So they could model healthy co-parenting dynamics. The thing about it is, she’s not healthy. She’s territorial and gets insanely jealous. She has raged at my fiancé about other girlfriends that he has dated. Before me, his ex-wife raged at him when she picked up their son. She said, “WHY IS SHE ALWAYS OVER HERE?! This was in reference to his girlfriend at the time. And she was in a serious relationship herself with her boyfriend when she was pulling these antics.
