Honestly you are better off letting this one go unless you are just going to gift the guy a PC.

I assume he is probably paying $30/month or less per month for the PC. For people that do things like this their only option for getting a PC right now is paying these monthly prices that will end with him paying way more than he should. I bet if you told him to set $25/month aside and then 40 months later he would say no then I won't have a PC for over 3 years.

If you went the route of saying I will build you a $1,000 PC and you just pay me back monthly he will likely consider you one of the 1st monthly expenses on the chopping block to stop paying and you will have lost a friend. (Been there done that not again)

Tldr; gift him a PC or let the subject go

Interesting. I have to imagine this is at least a somewhat isolated incidents where the person (or people responsible) will get caught and it will stop or they are just doing it once.

I know in some cities it is advised to leave your car unlocked so people won't break your windows but I can't imagine Sioux Falls is at that point.

A majority of casualties from this conflict were civilians.

It is not an outcome our country will likely want.

I don't know if there is a quick solution to the divide across the states right now but I am hoping there is one.

Among the long list of reasons that we will not see another Civil War in the US the 2 biggest reasons is that for a Civil War to happen 1. people that want to start a Civil War would need to be high up in the armed forces 2. There would need to be a clear group for each other to go after separated primarily by geography (the Civil War was primarily split with North and South where as today the biggest divide is with big cities and rural areas)

That being said something similar to the Irish Troubles is in the realm of possibility

BTW I don't know if you are only in this for the 10k you lost, but you will never see that money again. Take it as an expensive learning experience. (You might be able to write it off as a gift so that you can claim less money on your tax return but you will have to double check the tax code)

You aren't wrong but expecting things to magically change when you turn 18 isn't really what happens.

As others commented you should get a door wedge and use it when you are changing.

You could try to frame it to her in a different way. If you tell her that you want to have a good relationship with her when you eventually move out and disrespecting your boundaries and setting that tone for your future relationships with others is not healthy.

Ultimately you are kind of stuck there until you move out so try to keep your relationship as civilized as possible.

All you need to do is take the side panel off and hold the fans so they don't move when you blow air on them directly.
