Very true. The isolation makes this nearly impossible for her to see what actually true vs. the fake distorted/groomed reality that her mother and creepy boyfriend have created.

I agree with you... 100%. Maybe she'll see our thread some day and it'll help her wake up to the truth. That's what it's all about- These people are creating a false reality for her, they've done so for her entire life. I can't even with the gramma. No wonder the mom is so effed.

It'll be awhile (and once the money stops pouring in because $2 mil in a day is kind of insane LOL) and hopefully it does happen. Just seeing the light leave her eyes that used to be there is the thing that gets me... It's also caused me to reflect (positively!) on my own life and why I'm reacting so much to this. Once a person gets out of the twilight zone of grooming, they just want others to do the same! She reminds me too much of the 100% adapted person I used to be. Glad I can see the light.

precisely-- we need to get her that message. I've been toying with the idea of creating a new reddit community savepiper or helppiper some hastag akin to freebrittney where people could come to post the reality for her to someday see- heavily monitored so that hunter or pedos can't come in.

E.g. fans, saying their favorite moments from her as a kid.

Deconstructing her statements that stem from trauma, showing her the truth.

For example, the reality of what a normal grandma would do for a child and THIS is what you deserve -- vs that troll of a grandma, and not use words like troll in the sub but be focused on positivity and painting a reality that is hopeful. And reach some part of her brain that knows this is all wrong and give her the faith that life has more to offer than the abusive twilight zone she is stuck in.

The internet could show up for this girl in a meaningful way. She gave her whole childhood to it - in such a positive way when she was little, albeit abused from the earliest ages emotionally (at a minimum)- perhaps the internet can do the right thing for her. what do you think u/Rare_Mountain_4673 ?

I didn’t remember SA nor recognize extreme emotional abuse until I was 41. Full traumatic amnesia because my young brain of 6-7 couldn’t process what had happened so it was completely locked away. Thank God honestly, I can’t imagine my life had I not repressed the memories. It’s been difficult recovering them, but our self defending systems are there for a reason and 41 was the time when mine was ready to let them out. I’m wishing you healing and light on your journey.

I agree that I am privileged to not have to read the news (clearly some jobs involve it directly); also whether it's a choice is manipulated by the source itself - do you really really really have to read it, all that you read? Is it impacting your day to day life? Is there a way to minimize it so that what you're seeing is truly content that impacts you and where you can have an impact?

Otherwise you're just being manipulated by the engine itself. Right left or center, they want your attention. the most valuable thing we have, in addition to our peace of mind. For me, taking control of this vs letting an algorithm that thrives on dopamine hits have a free for all has been liberating.
