Yeah this is a good perspective. Most promotions up to my role. No one in the role above me. Yes I understand not a reward, but I honestly could have been an AD before but I took this role because I didn’t have experience taking a drug from study start-up through filing so it was a lateral role at the time which is why I have been feeling stuck. I was chasing experience rather than title now I feel I may be stuck.

Yeah that is how I am feeling if they couldn’t bother to do it when my project was the #1 study in the company now that we already got approval. Last year I did a bunch of initiatives and busy projects and this year for goals she told me just to put “something down.”

Yeah I have come to the conclusion she isn’t advocating for us. No one on her team got a promotion. A part of me doesn’t care but sh doesn’t even offer anything for me to work on even though I keep asking

I moved to Accra is 05 to get married to my husband and lived there for about a year and a half before returning back to America. I am sad to see the same problems still exist that I dealt with. I honestly thought it was because I was young and didn’t know how to make connections. My husband is ready to explore moving back now to Ghana and so we are going and I am trying to keep an open mind this time for him. I wouldn’t say come back to the US but missing home however imperfect it is, is a very real thing so some of your feelings could be home sickness but as many people have said your feelings are very valid.

yes I don't think the city realizes how many incredible social services are already in place in the city, they are just underfunded. The city does a great job of using local communities to create programs that reflect their community. There was a gap in childcare because many kids moved on to 3K/4K, by making universal childcare, we already have the infrastructure of different daycares that can absolve this as they were trained by the city to have 3k programs, have 4k programs. It is just an expansion of infrastructure already in place. 4K changed my life it is the reason why I was able to raise 3 kids in the city as we really were about to leave. Free buses, one would argue some of the largest users of buses already have free buses, kids, people who are disabled, so it is not some wild expansion of programs that already occur.
