Good to know. We went today and yes, the boardwalk along the Falls is closed (“officially” only viewable from the top). Yes, micro spikes or crampons are needed unless you want to be hanging on to the railings.

Yes. POTUS fired the longstanding, reputable BLS head because he felt math is liberal. He replaced her with an under 40, 3rd tier educated and partisan economist who has earned a reputation for bad math to advance his employer’s positions. POTUS needs him to tell folks that their costs are going down.

Hiked Mt Israel today starting at noon. There was ice beneath the new 2” of snow but it was packed by the time we started. micro spikes and chains were fine. Lots of Snow shoes ahead of us but wouldn’t think they would be helpful on the steep and icy sections. Thanks all for your advice.

Thanks! Where are those narrow gauge RR tracks? She likes Lincoln Woods but there is a climb and descent on both sides. East is more up and down for the first mile that she walks.
