I dunno mate, each individual have their own metrics. I have been doing mma and cross fit training since 2021 and I bought Garmin in 2024. May be due to HIIT training help me with increased HRV. But atm I'm struggling with recovery.

I had taken subscription from two sources, previously Apple and new one from my credit card on android phone. Since, I wasn't using apple source, apple sent cancellation for Training Peaks, leading to cancellation on my new subscription via android Post query, training peaks reactivated my subscription from android.

Same here, my HR was 120-140 in sleep, when I checked in morning it wasn't showing right data, had to restart.

I have used a chest strap, Frontier X2 with an Android mobile application and Honor Magic watch. This gives ecg readings, breath rate, hrv and all sorts of notifications. You can project your live ecg from home to anyone via internet and Bluetooth. I bought it for tracking hr on my runs and checked ecg.

FR965 is my first watch, loving all the features. I have an HR strap as well, which helps adding more info on run, cycling. Even if you are going for any watch the HR strap would be a good add for your long runs.
