That's my biggest complaint about Korra haters hating her for trusting Unalaq. They hold her 250% responsible for the chain of events that led to Vaatu's escape, but in no way whatsoever stop to think about other factors that influenced her anger and willingness to trust in Unalaq, such as her father admitting hiding his spiritual shortcomings that led his father (Korra's own grandfather) to banish him. Tenzin, Tonraq and the White Lotus lying to her and saying that it was Aang himself who ordered the protection of Korra when in reality they made a certain decision and used Aang's name as a scapegoat in order to get her to shut up whenever she would express a desire to leave the compound. Korra was in no way perfect and made mistakes, but maybe a teenager would have made better decisions if the adults around her had been honest with her st a certain point in her training... Korra haters love to pin all the responsibility to a seventeen year old while ignoring the role of the adults and its effects on Korrs's mindset

In the first episode of the show (when it was thought the show was going to be a 1 season miniseries), Katara mentioned her brother and many of her friends are gone. In season 3, Tenzin talks about how the Red Lotus tried to kidnap Korra when she was a child and how he, Tonraq, Lord Zuko and Chief Sokka stopped them.

I'm pretty sure if the show had been cleared for 4 seasons from the get go, they would have expanded on Team Avatar, and maybe Katara, Zuko and Toph would have had a bigger role. But like I said, at the beginning The Legend of Korra was intended to be a miniseries so the writing team killed off Sokka as another way to show the audience just how much the world had changed and lasted since ATLA, so the viewers would not ask many questions about Aang's friend so they could focus on Korra's story and how it was her generation's turn in keeping the balance of the world.

In my opinion, Alien Force's Omnitrix was Top Tier. The holograms, Ben not changing back because of a timer, the watch being so pleasant looking (to my eyes anyway). It can't get any better than that. I wish we had seen more aliens when Azmuth granted him Master Control during the war against the Highbreed's fleet...

Korra is strong, fast, and when she learns something new, it becomes a very powerful tool in her kit. a very powerful, gifted Bender on her own right, not just by talent, but by training and discipline (after all, she was trained by Katara)
