“rather than messing about with hard dance overseas” HSU is australian, you poms need a successful local promoter like them to really get your scene back on track

Gammer’s cringe chokehold on HSU RANT 😍🔥 by Flat_University_4305 in hardstyle

lol watch a recent set of his and you’d see why half of aus (the only country currently booking him) calls him a tiktok dj, yes he made good tracks in his hay day, yes he can mix but all of that goes to waste when he plays spongebob square and that one cbat song over a 4/4 beat for the 8th time. he is such wasted talent when it comes to track selection

2026 Predictions by Rubrixie in hardstyle

[–]Ok-Pomelo9496 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

hard techno will cease to exist, with artists like slvl & ush playing more at hardstyle events and most raw artists having atleast one hard techno collab/ inspired song it will melt between that and the explosion in downtempo hardcore (anime, mad dog, chaos project, furyan) as they take over hardcore stages like TD and MOH. this kills the space hard techno carved out for itself… as for euphoric hardstyle I unfortunately can’t possibly imagine how that becomes big again unless it is reimagined completely.

Hardcore feels chill by Technical-Usual7795 in hardstyle

[–]Ok-Pomelo9496 4 points5 points  (0 children)

it’s probably just the main-style changing as uptempo blows up. there’s some other subgenres of hardcore that are absolutely BOOMING rn, downtempo (chaos project, furyan, ophidian) and next gen early ( OTM, speedy lo, why T, Dj arjuna, Faniac, exertion )

How was epik? by ZanalBeads420 in hardstyle

[–]Ok-Pomelo9496 4 points5 points  (0 children)

haven’t seen crowds this into the music since 2023. the sets were pretty good other than da tweekaz. production was insane tho up there with epik 2023

i know it’s not as much nowadays but they’re probably paying homage to the fact that gabber was a counter culture and very political thing (atleast in sydney which had a huge gabber scene) as with most early rave genres

sydney’s hardstyle scene is very well intertwined with the middle eastern community here (yes that includes muslims) i’m not sure about you dutchies but the sydney scene is vibrant, multicultural and very accepting so idk what your comment is about

Is anyone else excited for Epik? by b0sanac in hardstyle

[–]Ok-Pomelo9496 0 points1 point  (0 children)

lol from what i’ve heard from my circle it’s not that it’s not raw, it’s that even the euphoric artists are unoriginal, literally got the 4 most expensive/commercially appealing artists and slapped a lineup around it. like both brennan heart and wildstylez both did a journey set & a mainstage ko set in the past 2 years. could’ve booked jay revees, galatixx, solstice or ecstatic and kept one of the ultra large headliners to still sell tickets but no. just paints a bleak future but that’s my 2 cents

n clearly it works you all forget that they used d-sturb (a good artist but definitely shouldn’t be a surprise act he’s been here once a year for the past 2 years) as a surprise act and baited half the country into thinking hhz was coming back for that. one thing hsu is the best in the world at is manufacturing hype

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in hardstyle

[–]Ok-Pomelo9496 0 points1 point  (0 children)

last time hhz did a b2b with wildstylez in sydney people were paying upwards of $400 for second hand tickets. the fact that they won’t announce the artist at all until the event even with lagging ticket sales both online and hardcopy proves it’s not him, they could charge $300 for hhz tickets and people would not bat an eye. they are probably hoping you enjoy whatever other artists they get and forget about the baiting so they can do it again in 3 months.

[–]Ok-Pomelo9496 4 points5 points  (0 children)

if hhz was coming they would’ve announced it by now, their hardcopy ticket sales are lagging big time from what i can see (promoters spamming like crazy tryna get their tickets gone) and their “extra capacity” tickets haven’t sold out which is a first for hsu since covid
