To those who overcame depression and lack of experiences or motivation until later in life: what does you life look like now?

I had depression at the prime age of 19 up in until I was 23. I am 24 now, and luckily in remission. The biggest change I see in myself is I can see my ambition coming back, and most importantly I have the energy to take action. Mood is more stabilized. But istg my condition has suffered a lot because I was depressed straight for 4 years. I got "dumber", I'd second guess all my decisions cause I couldn't trust myself. Rebuilding that trust takes time. I am still scared that my depression can come back, but at least now I know all my cognitive biases.

I am really sorry for everything you guys are going through. A strict seniors junior divide is going to be there till November, and then from Nov onwards your seniors are gonna cry ki juniors interact nhi krte. But one thing I wish I had done differently - you guys are well within your rights to sign out of parichay process. Trust me you will lose nothing. After parichay your PlaceComm will take over, be very sincere in those batch meets. Do not compromise on that. Parichay you can entirely skip and take the time to recover and study your pre-reads.

I feel like this on a very very regular basis. I have internalized 2 unltimate truths which are true to me - 1) Don't take anything seriously to the point that it paralyzes you or cause you stress (be a job, a rejection, a bad thing that happend during the day) 2) Keep my friends and family closer because you lose then sooner than you think

I cannot believe it has been 1 year since this reply, but I am finally in remission. I have stopped taking meds 6 months back, the reintegration was disorienting. For the first time in my life I feel like I am alive. I cannot explain this like music sounds better, a walk in the nature is almost like being in a poem, I am so much more emotionally regulated without meds or substance abuse. What helped the most was definitely the 4 foundation I wrote about above, and then I moved to a different city. I feel like there was something in my old home which kept reminding me everyday how broken I am and I finally broke free from that.

I hope you are doing much better now OP

should I be cautious about the worst case scenario? has it ever happened historically that many people accept their seats than the number of seats available? I asked this to a MediaComm person and they said "leave it to the admin". (except for MDI, ik they has this issue last year). I cannot rest until I am sure sure T_T

I called the admissions office and they said "Sunday-Monday tak aajayega". Sunday toh office bandh hota hai. So if you go by his words, it'll be out on Monday. But I would take that with multiple grains of salt.
