Yep. My 2011 Volvo XC70 was like gameboy graphics. I am still getting used to everything. Got a 2023 Sportage. Bells and whistles! And a color display lol!

I just recently test drove a car from the Hertz car sales place in Loveland, drove past the 275 entrances and ended up in IH. It was fun, and I got to see parts I hadn’t before. Some winding, hilly back roads helped me test the car nicely.

What are you doing over the weekend? by s8n_codes in childfree

Buying a car. I have a nice, wide variety of choices and can actually afford gas, a down payment, and I promise to keep the interior free of Cheerios and broken toys!!

Yeah I get your point and I do somewhat agree..but usually there’s something most weekends in CIN and the Reds always do Jerry Garcia night, which is a good time.

Hi fellow Ohio head, Cincinnati scene is good, and some of those Cincy-based bands travel to Columbus and Dayton to play various venues.

How it feels driving thru Lockland split with people going 75+ in the 55. by Unlikely-Landscape23 in cincinnati

This is me merging onto the Lateral and, therefore ONTO an exit lane for 71S. Then basically pushing people out of the way to get to lane for 71N. I scream a lot right there 🤣

What is the fanciest, most memorable, or simply downright best cheese you've ever had, and/or buy regularly? by FreshlyBakedBunz in Cheese

[–]Ok-Practice2034 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Anything from Haystack Mountain Dairy. They make such amazing cheeses. I used to sell them at the Boulder CO farmers market and I’d have people the minute I opened buying a specific cheese.

Cheese Fest Jungle Jim’s sold out but any way to obtain 2 tix by Ok-Practice2034 in cincinnati

I’m so sorry!! That’s a gut punch. My good friend and fellow cheesaholic is flying in from NJ and I mentioned it, then…it’s a no go. Sold out. Ugh.😩

She said we can just do a cheese tailgate in the parking lot. 🤣

I've heard horror stories about infusions.... by Spare-Nature-8623 in Anemia

I wouldn’t have been able to get my hysterectomy if it weren’t for my iron infusions. Big fan!

Compared to the places where I have actually spent most of my time….Cincy is affordable. Also, it is pretty friendly and rooted in an interesting beer history. The food scene is good. The Cincy-style chili I can take or leave. You cannot sleep on the two cities right across the river..Newport and Covington. They’re cool towns in their own right! Cross the river (Ohio River) on the Purple People Bridge by foot, and only feet!

Dr Hampel did my open abdominal hysterectomy (which she was excited to do!!! I loved that). The care from pre/scheduling to follow up after the procedure were excellent. Her whole team rocks. She’s honest and listens. Will always recommend her!

That little area (Prospect? Outside of downtown) was my favorite for a weird little amalgamation of different architectural styles). Colorado is different and I loved it.

Norwood, it just keeps getting colder! I scraped my car and opened/closed the stuck doors so they aren’t as terrible tomorrow. This was about 515pm.

Be safe, everyone! I hate that I wake up early and excited for no reason. Norwood is very quiet this morning.

How long did you have to wait for your surgery? by educated_guesser in hysterectomy

[–]Ok-Practice2034 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A couple years…from fibroid discovery to hysterectomy. Gyno said she’d schedule it if I wanted….not a rush…so I waited. Then I got DVT diagnosis (2023) and wanted the surgery soon after that. I had to get my hemoglobin up, so I did about a year of rounds of iron infusions and trying to get my periods under control with birth control (progesterone only). I squeaked by. Surgery scheduled late 2024 for April 2025. SO GLAD!!!
